The European University Institute provides advanced academic training to PhD students. The EUI carries out research in a European perspective (fundamental research, comparative research and Community research).
Doctoral programmes are offered in the following Departments:
the Department of History and Civilisation
the Department of Economics
the Department of Law
the Department of Political and Social Sciences.
Research students can study for periods from one to three years. Three years for the Institute's doctorate; one year's study in comparative, European and international law (the Ll.M.); or in exceptional cases, one or two years' doctoral training at the Institute before defending a thesis in the home university of the student.
Candidates should have an adequate knowledge of two official languages of the European Union. They should propose a specific thesis project that should be within the research areas covered by the Institute. Guidelines on how to set out the research proposal can be found on the (reverse side) of the application form.
The application deadline for admission to the post-graduate programmes is annually on 31st January.

Das Europäische Hochschulinstitut (EHI) bietet fortgeschrittene akademische Ausbildung für DoktoratsstudentInnen. Das EHI führt Forschung mit einer europäischen Perspektive durch (Grundlagenforschung, vergleichende Forschung und Forschung über die Europäische Union).
Doktoratsstudien werden von folgenden Instituten angeboten:
ForschungsstudentInnen können ein bis drei Jahre studieren: drei Jahre für den Doktortitel an einem Institut; ein Jahr in vergleichendem, europäischem und internationalem Recht (LL.M); oder sie können in Ausnahmefällen ein ein- oder zweijähriges Doktoratsprogramm am Institut absolvieren bevor sie ihre Dissertation an ihrer Heimatuniversität verteidigen.
Alle KandidatInnen sollten Kenntnisse in mindestens zwei offiziellen Sprachen der Europäischen Union nachweisen. Weiters sollten sie ein spezifisches Arbeitsprojekt vorschlagen, das innerhalb der Forschungsgebiete liegt die vom Institut abgedeckt werden. Institutul Universitar European (IUE) propune cursuri avansate de formare pentru doctoranzi. IUE desfăşoară activități de cercetare dintr-o perspectivă europeană (cercetare fundamentală, cercetare comparată şi cercetare comunitară).
Programele de doctorat sunt oferite în următoarele departamente:

Studenţii pot studia pentru o perioadă cuprinsă între un an și trei ani. Trei ani pentru pregătirea doctoratului în cadrul Institutului; un an de studiu în drept comparat, european şi internaţional (LI.M.); sau, în cazuri excepţionale, un an sau doi ani de pregatire pentru doctorat în cadrul Institutului înaintea susţinerii tezei la universitatea de provenienţă a studentului.
Candidaţii trebuie să cunoască bine două limbi oficiale ale Uniunii Europene. Ei trebuie să propună un proiect de teză care să se încadreze în aria de cercetare acoperită de Institut. Îndrumări pentru conceperea propunerii de cercetare pot fi găsite pe formularul de înscriere (pe verso).

A kutató diákok tanulmányaikat 1-3 év közötti időszakban folytathatják. A jelentkezőknek az Európai Unió két hivatalos nyelvének megfelelő tudásával kell rendelkezniük. Mindemellett elő kell terjeszteniük egy specifikus diplomamunka projektet, melynek az intézet által végzett kutatási területeket kell érintenie. The Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to approximately 1,000 undergraduates, graduates, and PhD students of all subjects and nationalities per year, who are pursuing their degree at universities, universities of applied sciences (‘Fachhochschulen’), or universities of the arts (‘Kunsthochschulen”).
Scholarship recipients are expected to have excellent academic records, to be socially and politically engaged, and to have an active interest in the basic values of the foundation: ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self determination and justice.

Il programma Fulbright-Schuman fornisce borse di studio a cittadini dell'UE per studiare, ricercare o tenere conferenze negli Stati Uniti, con particolare attenzione agli affari dell'UE, all'integrazione europea o alle relazioni USA-UE.

Ci sono quattro tipi di borse di studio disponibili:
Borse di studio per la ricerca post-dottorato e l'insegnamento ("borsisti")
-per coloro che hanno completato il dottorato di ricerca (o altra laurea e 5+ anni di esperienza) e un'esperienza accademica/professionale di 3+ mesi in due o più Stati membri dell'UE;
-per un periodo minimo di tre mesi e un massimo di nove mesi, con preferenza per progetti della durata di 4-6 mesi.

Borse di studio per educatori internazionali
-per professionisti dell'educazione amministrativa internazionale provenienti da università europee per ricerche nel campo, reciprocamente vantaggiose per entrambe le istituzioni;
-per un periodo compreso tra 3 mesi e un anno accademico (9 mesi).
Borse di studio per l'innovazione
-per proposte incentrate su approcci UE o USA-UE a tecnologie e modelli di business innovativi e la loro integrazione con politiche e regolamenti nuovi e già esistenti;
-la procedura di candidatura è la stessa di quando si fa domanda per una borsa di (pre)dottorato (studenti) o di ricerca post-dottorato (studiosi), ma nella sezione "Informazioni sul paese" è necessario specificare che si sta presentando domanda per il premio di innovazione.
Criteri di ammissibilità
-cittadinanza di uno Stato membro dell'UE
-conoscenza della lingua inglese
-minimo una laurea di primo livello
-prima di presentare la domanda, i candidati devono organizzare il proprio collocamento presso un'università accreditata, un istituto di formazione professionale o un centro di ricerca indipendente negli Stati Uniti
Benefits
-stipendio mensile (equivalente in dollari USA di 2000€ per gli studenti e 3000€ per gli studiosi e gli educatori internazionali) da utilizzare per coprire le tasse scolastiche, le spese di soggiorno, ecc.

La Borsa di studio è rivolta a studenti con disabilità impegnati in un corso di studi nei settori dell'ingegneria informatica, l'informatica o un campo tecnico strettamente correlato presso un'università in Europa o Israele.
La Borsa di studio intende aiutare ad abbattere le barriere che impediscono agli studenti con disabilità di intraprendere gli studi nel settore dell'informatica, incoraggiarli ad eccellere nei loro studi per diventare dei modelli attivi e leader nella creazione della tecnologia.

Das Stipendium richtet sich an Studierende mit Behinderungen, die Informatik, Computertechnik, Informatik oder ein verwandtes technisches Fachgebiet an einer Universität in Europa oder Israel studieren.
Das Stipendium soll dazu beitragen, Barrieren abzubauen, die Studierenden mit Behinderungen davon abhalten, in die Informatik einzusteigen, sie ermutigen, in ihrem Studium hervorragende Leistungen zu erbringen und aktive Vorbilder und Führungspersönlichkeiten bei der Gestaltung von Technologie zu werden.
Teilnahmeberechtigte Bewerber/-innen müssen:
- derzeit an einer Universität in Europa oder Israel für das Studienjahr 2021-2022 eingeschrieben sein;
- beabsichtigen, für das akademische Jahr 2022/2023 an einer Universität in Europa oder Israel als Voll- oder Teilzeitstudent in einem Bachelor-, Master- oder PhD-Studiengang (oder gleichwertig) eingeschrieben oder angenommen zu werden;
- Informatik, Computertechnik, Informatik oder ein eng verwandtes technisches Feld an einer Universität in Europa oder Israel studieren
- eine Behinderung haben;
- eine gute akademische Leistung erbringen;
- Führungsqualitäten und eine Leidenschaft für Informatik und Technologie vorweisen können;
- Personen, die ihren Wohnsitz in Embargoländern haben, ihren gewöhnlichen Aufenthalt in Embargoländern haben oder anderweitig durch geltende Exportkontrollen und Sanktionsprogramme verboten sind, sind nicht berechtigt, sich für dieses Stipendium zu bewerben.

Stipendium
Die 10 besten Kandidat/-innen erhalten jeweils ein Stipendium in Höhe von 7.000 EUR, das für Studiengebühren, Bücher, Material und Ausrüstung verwendet werden kann, die für den Unterricht der Bewerber/-innen an ihrer Heimatuniversität erforderlich sind.

The scholarship is addressed to students with disabilities who are currently enrolled in a high education programme in the area of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, User Experience, or related fields enrolled at a EU university for the academic year 2020-2021. This includes Bachelors, Masters and PhD students.
The EDF - Oracle e-Accessibility Scholarship consists €6,500 for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The Scholarship will be awarded primarily based on a project or thesis in which the needs of persons with disabilities in terms of accessibility to information and communication technologies (e-Accessibility) are taken into consideration, and/or an innovative solution to enhance their access is proposed.
The project must be an integral component of the educational programme undertaken by the student (e.g. final year assignment or part of their Masters or PhD.
The project may already be underway, or be a proposal.
Who can apply
To be eligible applicants should:
- be a student in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, User Experience, or related field,
- be citizens of the European Union (EU), resident within the EU at the time of the deadline for submitting applications,
- be enrolled at a university in the EU for the 2020-2021 academic year, including online universities based in the EU,
- mantain a strong academic record,
- have a disability, (see FAQs for definition of disability),
- have not benefited from the scholarship in the past.

Bursa se adresează studenților cu dizabilități care sunt în prezent înscriși într-un program de învățământ universitar în domeniile informatică, inginerie calculatoare, experiența utilizatorului sau domenii conexe, la o universitate din UE pentru anul universitar 2020-2021. Aceasta include studenții din ciclurile de studii universitare de licență, de master și de doctorat.
Pentru anul universitar 2020-2021, valoarea bursei EDF - Oracle e-Accessibility este de 6.500 de euro.
Bursa va fi acordată în principal pe baza unui proiect sau a unei teze în care sunt luate în considerare nevoile persoanelor cu dizabilități în ceea ce privește accesibilitatea la tehnologia informației și comunicării (e-Accessibility) și/sau o soluție inovatoare pentru îmbunătățirea accesului acestora.
Proiectul trebuie să fie o componentă integrală a programului educațional urmat de student, de ex. lucrare de final de an sau parte a disertației de master sau a tezei de doctorat.
Proiectul poate fi în derulare sau poate fi o propunere.
Solicitanții eligibili trebuie
- să fie studenți în domeniile informatică, inginerie computere, experiența utilizatorului sau într-un domeniu conex;
- să fie cetățeni ai Uniunii Europene (UE), rezidenți în UE la termenul limită de depunere a candidaturilor;
- să fiți înscriși la o universitate din UE în anul universitar 2020-2021, inclusiv universități online cu sediul în UE;
- să aibă o evidență academică solidă;
- să aibă o dizabilitate (a se vedea FAQ pentru definirea dizabilității),
- nu au beneficiat de bursă în trecut.

The Google News Initiative Fellowship offers paid summer placements to journalism, technology or design students. In 2022 the European Journalism Centre offers 30 fellowship placements in 14 European countries.
The successful candidates will kick off their careers in the news industry by spending their summer working with experts in newsrooms and creating a professional network.

Selected applicants will of the team in their chosen newsroom for 8 weeks between June and September 2022.
They will receive hands-on workshops on data-journalism, fact-checking, business development and audience engagement during a unique virtual bootcamp to develop and learn new skills.

The exact amount will be at the discretion of each news organisation, the minimum will be €2,500.

La Google News Initiative Fellowship offre tirocini estivi retribuiti a studenti di giornalismo, tecnologia o design. Nel 2022 il Centro Europeo di Giornalismo offre 30 borse di studio in 14 paesi europei. I candidati prescelti inizieranno la loro carriera nel settore dell'informazione trascorrendo l'estate lavorando con esperti nelle redazioni e creando un network professionale.
Requisiti
- avere almeno 18 anni;
- provenire dai seguenti paesi partecipanti: Austria, Belgio, Repubblica Ceca, Finlandia, Francia, Germania, Irlanda, Italia, Polonia, Spagna, Svezia, Svizzera, Paesi Bassi, Regno Unito;
- essere iscritti o accettati in un istituto di istruzione superiore accreditato (laurea, master, dottorato di ricerca) o essersi laureati nel 2020/2021 nello stesso paese in cui si trova la redazione di loro scelta; oppure provenire dal paese in cui ha sede la redazione di loro scelta;
- possono presentare domanda anche i neolaureati che hanno terminato gli studi nel 2022;
- gli studenti iscritti in Austria, Germania o Svizzera possono candidarsi per una qualsiasi delle organizzazioni con sede in questi tre paesi;
- sono ammissibili anche gli studenti internazionali iscritti in un istituto di istruzione superiore con sede nel paese della redazione di loro scelta.
La candidatura può essere presentata in inglese o nella lingua dell'organizzazione giornalistica per la quale si presenta la domanda. I candidati possono presentare la candidatura per una sola organizzazione.
Tutti i borsisti saranno remunerati per il loro lavoro e sostenuti per coprire le spese fino a un massimo di 5000 euro. L'importo esatto sarà a discrezione di ciascuna organizzazione giornalistica.
