The Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe believes that European diversity can best be understood by being experienced. Travel scholarships are therefore aimed at enabling young Europeans to discover and explore their continent. During their travels, fellows deal with current political and social issues and become ambassadors of a united Europe.
Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe is awarding travel grants to young people between 18 and 27 years of age and who live in one of the 47 Council of Europe member states.
The grant should enable young people to explore Europe and personally document it. The trip needs to address a specific topic or question research.
All sponsored trips should not start before May 1st, 2019 and be completed by December 30th, 2019.
Trips should be between three and six weeks long. If you are enrolled in a vocational training, a trip of two weeks is also acceptable.
What travel grants can you apply for?
There are two travel grants you can choose from. All of them seek to foster European youth mobility. However, there are some differences in regards to thematic focus as well as some additional requirements and applicants’ profiles.
“What connects Europe?” – travelling with the Interrail-Global Pass (Deutsche Bahn)
In cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, the Schwarzkopf Foundation awards 35 Interrail-Global Passes in total, enabling you to travel up to 31 countries in Europe, including Turkey, for up to one month.
This travel grant focuses on “What connects Europe?” and worths 379€.
Applicants need to have permanent residency in an EU member state, Russia, or Turkey and be between the ages of 18 and 27.
Travellers do independent research on this topic by applying their own focus and document their findings on video.
Applicants can choose between a 2-month, 15 day-travelling pass or a 1-month, 7-day travelling pass.
The trip itself should take place between 1st June and 30th November.
No later than three months after the journey the travel grantee is required to submit a report of the journey and the research in form of a vlog.
The report needs to include an explanation of how the research topic was addressed, the concrete findings and as personal reflections on the experiences.
Travel grants on the topic “Future of Europe” (Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände (BDA)
In cooperation with the Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände (BDA), the Schwarzkopf Foundation awards travel grants worth 600€ to research relevant trends and future developments in Europe.
With their travel grants, the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe and the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) want to give young people the opportunity to travel and explore Europe.
The travel grant amounts to 600 € (six hundred euros).
• The grantee will be paid 450 € at the beginning of the journey and 150 € after presenting the report.
• Travels should be planned to other EU member state countries.
Applicants should be between 18 and 27 years old and hold permanent residence in one of the 28 EU member states.
The trip should include a project related to one of these two questions:
• Labour mobility in the EU – Importance of cross-border work for employees and companies
• Chances of digitalization for economy and working world
The applicant should plan and carry out the trip independently. The trip should last a minimum of three and a maximum of six weeks.
In case travellers are enrolled in vocational training, the trip can in some circumstances be shortened to two weeks.
No later than two months after the journey, travellers are requested to submit a report of the journey and the research, either in the form of a photo story with background information, a blog series, a vlog, or a written report.
The report needs to include an explanation of how the research topic was addressed, the concrete findings and grantees reflection on the experiences and impressions from the trip.

Due to the Corona (COVID-19) virus and limited travel opportunities, there will be no travel grants granted in 2020.

From January to July 2021 PACT Zollverein is offering a residency programme for the development and realisation of projects and productions.
The programme is open to professional artists working in the fields of dance, performance, media arts or music.
Participants will get:
- Studio space;
- Local accommodation;
- Weekly grant allowance for all of the residency project participants;
- Travel costs covering one journey only per participant to and from PACT Zollverein;
- Technical equipment;
- Professional technical supervision and support;
- Professional advice in project funding, project management, press and public relations
Residences are awarded twice a year by an international jury.

Da gennaio a luglio 2021 PACT Zollverein offre un programma di residenze per lo sviluppo e la realizzazione di progetti e produzioni. Il programma è aperto ad artisti professionisti che lavorano nei campi della danza, dello spettacolo, delle arti mediali o della musica.
I partecipanti avranno diritto a:
• Spazio studio
• Alloggio locale
• Indennità settimanale per tutti i partecipanti al progetto di residenza
• Spese di viaggio relative a un viaggio solo per partecipante da e verso Pact Zollverein
• Attrezzatura tecnica
• Supervisione e supporto tecnico professionale
• Consulenza professionale in: finanziamento di progetti, gestione di progetti, stampa e pubbliche relazioni
Le residenze vengono assegnate due volte l'anno da una giuria internazionale.

Programul este deschis artiștilor profesioniști care lucrează în domeniile dans, artele spectacolului, arte media sau muzică.
Participanții vor beneficia de:
- Spațiu în studio;
- Cazare;
- Alocație săptămânală pentru toți participanții la proiectul de rezidență;
- Acoperirea costurilor pentru o singură călătorie a fiecărui participant la și de la PACT Zollverein;
- Echipament tehnic;
- Îndrumare și sprijin din partea tehnicienilor profesioniști;
- Consultanță profesională privind: finanțarea proiectelor, managementul proiectelor, presă și PR (public relations).
Rezidențele sunt acordate de două ori pe an de către un juriu internațional.

The FARE - Football Against Racism in Europe-network co-ordinates action against racism in and around football stadiums across Europe.
The aim of the Events Grants is to support organisations to run national and international events addressing discrimination and drive forward debates about social inclusion in football during the #Football People weeks to take place between 8-22 October 2020.
The event grants support the organisation of conferences, panel discussions, roundtable events, festivals etc, that will become the highlights of the campaign.
On top of the financial support, Fare can help applicants develop the programme, find international speakers and generate publicity for their event.
What activities
Outstanding events or gatherings that address and discuss topics in relation to football and discrimination and/or social inclusion that are relevant in a national context.
There is no prescribed format for the event but proposals must clearly demonstrate that they have a national or international scope in terms of content, the speakers/participants they involve and their foreseen PR activities.
Applicants are encouraged to work in cooperation with a wide range of partners to increase the impact and visibility of their event and to raise additional funds to reach a wider audience.
Proposed events should address at least one of these objectives:
- Make football more inclusive by tackling exclusion and discrimination;
- Increase representation of minorities and women in football;
- Explore and discuss football as a tool for social change, empowerment, education or social inclusion;
- Educate about and breakdown stereotypes in football.
The events must take place between 8- 22 October 2020.
The event grants cannot be used to fund existing events, stand-alone tournaments, one-off awareness-raising activities in stadiums such as team banners, flags etc. and small-scale local or regional interventions.
For local activities please apply for a small grant.
Who can apply
Any European-based group or organisation that has the capacity and expertise to run an event of this kind.

La rete FARE, il Calcio contro il razzismo in Europa (FARE), coordina azioni contro il razzismo nel mondo del calcio in tutta Europa. Lo scopo delle sovvenzioni di eventi è di supportare le organizzazioni nella gestiione di eventi nazionali e internazionali affrontando la discriminazione e portando avanti dibattiti sull'inclusione sociale nel calcio durante le settimane di #Football People, che si terranno tra l'8 e il 22 ottobre 2020.
L'evento garantisce l'organizzazione di conferenze, tavole rotonde, eventi di tavole rotonde, festival, ecc, che diventeranno i punti salienti della campagna. Oltre al supporto finanziario, Fare può aiutare i candidati a sviluppare il programma, trovare relatori internazionali e fare promozione per il loro evento.
Quali attività
Eventi o incontri che affrontano e discutono argomenti relativi al calcio e alla discriminazione e/o inclusione sociale in un contesto nazionale.
Non esiste un formato prescritto per l'evento, ma le proposte devono chiaramente dimostrare di avere una portata nazionale o internazionale in termini di contenuto, i relatori / partecipanti che coinvolgono e le loro attività di PR previste. I candidati sono incoraggiati a lavorare in collaborazione con una vasta gamma di partner per aumentare l'impatto e la visibilità del loro evento e per raccogliere fondi aggiuntivi per raggiungere un pubblico più ampio.
Gli eventi proposti dovrebbero riguardare almeno uno di questi obiettivi:
- rendere il calcio più inclusivo affrontando l'esclusione e la discriminazione;
- aumentare la rappresentanza delle minoranze e delle donne nel calcio;
- discutere sul tema del calcio come strumento per il cambiamento sociale, l'empowerment, l'educazione o l'inclusione sociale;

Gli eventi devono svolgersi dall'8 al 22 ottobre 2020.

Chi può presentare la candidatura
Qualsiasi gruppo o organizzazione con sede in Europa che abbia le capacità e le competenze per gestire un evento di questo tipo.
Sovvenzione
I candidati potranno richiedere fino a 5.00 euro di sovvenzione. Tuttavia, i candidati devono coprire almeno il 10% attraverso altre fonti. Le sovvenzioni non supereranno il 90% dei costi complessivi.

FARE - Reţeaua europeană pentru fotbal împotriva rasismului coordonează acțiuni împotriva rasismului în și în jurul stadioanelor de fotbal din Europa.
Scopul acestor granturi este de a sprijini organizațiile pentru a desfășura evenimente la nivel național sau internațional având ca temă discriminarea și a modera dezbateri privind incluziunea socială în fotbal în timpul săptămânilor #Fotball People – “Oamenii fotbalului” care vor avea loc în perioada 10 – 24 octombrie 2019.
Granturile pentru evenimente susțin organizarea de conferințe, dezbateri, mese rotunde, festivaluri etc., acestea devenind cele mai importante puncte ale campaniei.
Pe lângă sprijinul financiar, FARE poate ajuta candidații să dezvolte programul, să găsească speakeri internaționali și să facă publicitate pentru evenimentele lor.
Activități
Evenimente sau reuniuni care abordează și dezbat subiecte legate de fotbal, discriminare și/sau incluziune socială, care sunt relevante în context național.
Nu există un format pentru evenimente, dar propunerile trebuie să demonstreze clar că au un obiectiv național sau internațional privind conținutul, lectorii/participanții pe care îi implică și activitățile de PR prevăzute.
Solicitanții sunt încurajați să coopereze cu diverși parteneri pentru a crește impactul și vizibilitatea evenimentului lor, pentru a strânge fonduri suplimentare și pentru a ajunge la un public cât mai larg.
Evenimentele propuse trebuie să îndeplinească cel puțin unul dintre aceste obiective:
- Se asigură că fotbalul este un sport mai incluziv prin combaterea excluderii și discriminării;
- Creșterea reprezentării minorităților și a femeilor în fotbal;
- Folosirea fotbalului și a discuțiilor despre fotbal ca instrumente de schimbare socială, împuternicire, educație sau incluziune socială;
- Educarea și combaterea stereotipurilor în fotbal.
Evenimentele trebuie să aibă loc în perioada 10 - 24 octombrie 2019.
Granturile pentru evenimente nu pot fi utilizate pentru a finanța evenimente existente, turnee de sine stătătoare, activități de conștientizare punctuale de pe stadioane, cum ar fi bannere ale echipelor, steaguri etc. și activității locale sau regionale la scară mică.
Pentru activități locale, vă rugăm să solicitați un grant la scară mică.
Cine poate candida
Grupuri sau organizații cu sediul în Europa care au capacitatea și expertiza de a organiza astfel de evenimente.
Grant
Solicitanții vor fi în măsură să candideze pentru granturi în valoare de până la 2.500 de euro.
Cu toate acestea, solicitanții trebuie să acopere cel puțin 10% din alte surse. Granturile nu vor depăși 90% din costurile totale.

Das Netzwerk FARE - Fußball gegen Rassismus in Europa koordiniert Maßnahmen gegen Rassismus in und um Fußballstadien in ganz Europa.
Ziel der Events Grants ist es, Organisationen bei der Durchführung nationaler und internationaler Diskriminierungsveranstaltungen zu unterstützen und die Debatten über die soziale Inklusion im Fußball während der #Football People-Wochen vom 10. bis 24. Oktober 2019 voranzutreiben.
Die Veranstaltungszuschüsse unterstützen die Organisation von Konferenzen, Podiumsdiskussionen, Roundtable-Veranstaltungen, Festivals usw., die zu den Höhepunkten der Kampagne werden. Zusätzlich zur finanziellen Unterstützung kann Fare Antragstellern helfen, das Programm zu entwickeln, internationale Redner zu finden und Werbung für ihre Veranstaltung zu generieren.
Welche Aktivitäten
Herausragende Veranstaltungen oder Zusammenkünfte, die sich mit im nationalen Kontext relevanten Themen in Bezug auf Fußball, Diskriminierung und / oder soziale Eingliederung befassen und diese diskutieren.
Es gibt kein vorgeschriebenes Format für die Veranstaltung, aber die Vorschläge müssen eindeutig nachweisen, dass sie einen nationalen oder internationalen Geltungsbereich in Bezug auf den Inhalt, die von ihnen einbezogenen Redner / Teilnehmer und ihre geplanten PR-Aktivitäten haben.
Die Bewerber werden aufgefordert, mit einer Vielzahl von Partnern zusammenzuarbeiten, um die Wirkung und Sichtbarkeit ihrer Veranstaltung zu steigern und zusätzliche Mittel zu sammeln, um ein breiteres Publikum zu erreichen.
Vorgeschlagene Veranstaltungen sollten mindestens eines dieser Ziele betreffen::
- Fussball durch die Bekämpfung von Ausgrenzung und Diskriminierunginklusiver machen;
- Erhöhung der Vertretung von Minderheiten und Frauen im Fußball;
- Fußball als Instrument für sozialen Wandel, Empowerment, Bildung oder soziale Eingliederung erforschen und diskutieren;
- Aufklärung über und Abbau von Stereotypen im Fußball.
Die Veranstaltungen müssen zwischen dem 10. und 24. Oktober 2019 stattfinden.
Die Veranstaltungszuschüsse können nicht zur Finanzierung bestehender Veranstaltungen, eigenständiger Turniere, einmaliger Sensibilisierungsmaßnahmen in Stadien wie Teambannern, Flaggen usw. und kleiner lokaler oder regionaler Maßnahmen verwendet werden.
Für lokale Aktivitäten beantragen Sie bitte ein kleines Stipendium.
Wer kann sich bewerben
Jede in Europa ansässige Gruppe oder Organisation, die über die Kapazität und das Fachwissen verfügt, um eine Veranstaltung dieser Art durchzuführen.
Zuschüsse
Gewähren Bewerber können bis zu 2.500 € Stipendien beantragen.
Die Antragsteller müssen jedoch mindestens 10% aus anderen Quellen decken. Die Zuschüsse werden 90% der Gesamtkosten nicht überschreiten.
