• Eine unterzeichnete Kopie der Rechteerlaubnis. Es werden zwei Unterschriften benötigt, eine von der Person, die das Bild aufgenommen hat, und eine von den Personen, die auf dem Bild erscheinen.
• Ein einzelnes hochauflösendes Originalfoto (300dpi) mit Bildbeschreibung oder eine einzelne künstlerische Darstellung (Comics und Zeichnungen) mit Bildbeschreibung, die die Geschichte erzählt.

Under the theme "Reclaiming your Rights" participants will have to submit engaging visuals that put forward the experience of people with disabilities throughout the justice system,  in a single photograph, of which three will be selected for prizes.

• A short description (in English) as well as the author name, place (city & country) where the picture was taken.

Cada participante puede presentar un máximo de cinco entradas de todo ello apoyado por un texto breve.

Los trabajos deben ser subidos a un sitio para compartir en línea, como Flickr, Shutterfly, Snapfish o Photobucket.

Los ganadores recibirán premios en efectivo de 2.000 euros para el 1 º premio, 1.500 euros para el segundo premio, 1.000 euros para el 3 º premio y 500 euros para el premio de la elección pública y el premio de la juventud.

Además, el Premio de la Juventud se otorgará a la obra ganadora, seleccionada entre las presentadas por personas de edades comprendidas entre 18 y 24 años (nacidos entre los años 1990 a 1996).

The European Youth Forum is launching the ‘European Youth Capital’ (EYC) 2028. This title is assigned to a European city for one year to empower young people, boost youth participation, and strengthen European identity. Each year, a new European city is given the chance to showcase its innovative ideas, projects, and activities that aim to raise young voices and bring a new youth perspective to all aspects of city life. 

The European Youth Capital initiative aims to support both young people and the city to open up these possibilities and lead the way for other European municipalities to follow. 

A city can become a European Youth Capital if it distinguishes itself in a positive way and has an ambitious programme for empowering youth.

Cities are asked to set out their vision to become the European Youth Capital 2028 and how it can empower young people, boost youth participation, and bring change to their city.

The folllowing key elements are essential to any application for the EYC title:

• Youth Participation
• Co-decision-making;
• European Dimension.

Eligibility

Any Local Authority (defined as a municipality or group of municipalities located in a common geographical area) from Member States of the Council of Europe.

Awards

The city awarded the title will be announced during the Award Ceremony in Ghent (Belgium), European Youth Capital 2028, taking place in November 2025.

Deadlines

- 11 February 2025 (23:59 CET), for submission of detailed application forms.

The application includes a fee of 300 Euros, to be paid before the deadline at the European Youth Forum.

- 17 June 2025 (23:59 CET), for final application forms. The third application round does not include a fee.

Eligibilité
Ouvert à toute autorité locale (définie comme une municipalité ou un groupe de municipalités situées dans une zone géographique commune) des États membres du Conseil de l'Europe, qui sont parties à la Convention culturelle européenne adoptée en 1954 à Paris. Les municipalités candidates, ainsi que les structures de jeunesse participantes, sont invitées à présenter un programme à facettes multiples mettant en évidence leur approche de la participation des jeunes et leurs projets pour créer un meilleur environnement pour les jeunes dans leur ville.

Dates limites

• Le 21 février 2022 (à 23h59 CET), pour la soumission des notes conceptuelles. La demande comprend des frais de 300 euros, à payer avant la date limite au Forum européen de la jeunesse.
• Le 23 juin 2022 (à 23h59 CET), pour la soumission des formulaires de candidature détaillés. La demande comprend des frais de 700 euros, à payer avant la date limite au Forum européen de la jeunesse.
• Le 10 octobre 2022 (à 23h59 CET), pour la soumission des formulaires de candidature finale. Le troisième tour de candidature ne comprend pas de frais.

Das Europäische Jugendforum startet die "Europäische Jugendhauptstadt" (EYC) 2024. Dieser Titel wird einer europäischen Stadt für einen Zeitraum von einem Jahr verliehen, um junge Menschen zu befähigen, die Beteiligung junger Menschen zu fördern und die europäische Identität zu stärken.
Jedes Jahr erhält eine neue europäische Stadt die Chance, ihre innovativen Ideen, Projekte und Aktivitäten vorzustellen, die darauf abzielen, die Stimme junger Menschen zu erheben und eine neue Jugendperspektive in alle Aspekte des Stadtlebens zu bringen.
Die Initiative Europäische Jugendhauptstadt zielt darauf ab, sowohl junge Menschen als auch die Stadt dabei zu unterstützen, diese Möglichkeiten zu eröffnen und anderen europäischen Kommunen den Weg zu weisen.

Teilnahmeberechtigung
Offen für alle Gebietskörperschaften (definiert als eine Gemeinde oder eine Gruppe von Gemeinden, die in einem gemeinsamen geographischen Gebiet liegen) aus den Mitgliedstaaten des Europarates, die Vertragsparteien des 1954 in Paris angenommenen Europäischen Kulturabkommens sind.

Az Európai Ifjúsági Fórum (European Youth Forum) felhívást tesz közzé az Európa ifjúsági Fővárosa 2026 címre. Ezt a címet egy európai város kapja meg egyéves időtartamra a fiatalok szerepvállalásának erősítése, a fiatalok részvételének ösztönzése és az európai identitás erősítése érdekében. The European Youth Forum will host a webinar on 10 January 2026, for cities that are interested to apply for the European Youth Capital 2026 title.

 Eligibility

Open to any Local Authority (defined as a municipality or group of municipalities located in a common geographical area) from Member States of the Council of Europe, which are parties to the European Cultural Convention adopted in 1954 in Paris. 

Applicant municipalities together with participating youth structures are invited to present a multi-faceted programme highlighting their approach to youth participation and plans for creating a better environment for young people in their cities.

The city awarded the title will be announced during the Award Ceremony in Lublin (Poland), European Youth Capital 2023, taking place in November 2023.

Il Forum europeo della gioventù ha lanciato la "Capitale Europea della Gioventù" (EYC) 2026. Questo titolo viene assegnato a una città europea per un periodo di un anno durante il quale si intende conferire più potere ai giovani  e rafforzare la loro partecipazione, rafforzare l'identità europea. Ogni anno, una nuova città europea ha la possibilità di mostrare le sue idee innovative, i progetti e le attività che mirano a dare voce ai giovani e portare una nuova prospettiva a tutti gli aspetti della vita cittadina. 

Una città può diventare una Capitale Europea della Gioventù se si distingue in modo positivo e ha un programma ambizioso per responsabilizzare i giovani. Le città sono invitate a presentare la propria visione per diventare la Capitale Europea della Gioventù 2025 e illustrare come dare potere ai giovani, accrescere la loro partecipazione e portare un cambiamento nella loro città. 

Il titolo è conferito da una giuria  congiunta di organizzazioni giovanili europee e partner istituzionali.

La capitale europea della gioventù crea un impatto positivo in molti settori:
-Apre nuove opportunità
-Porta un cambiamento positivo

La Capitale européenne de la jeunesse est un titre accordé à une ville européenne pour un an, au cours de cette période, la ville mettra en valeur sa jeunesse liées culturel, social, politique et économique et le développement.

Toutes les municipalités dans les ‰tats membres de l'Union européenne et / ou le Conseil de l'Europe sont invités à appliquer. Le titre de Capitale européenne de la jeunesse donne des villes européennes l'occasion de présenter un programme à multiples facettes sur un an, qui met en évidence la richesse, la diversité et les caractéristiques communes de l'Europe de l'approche intergénérationnelle, et de l'autonomisation des jeunes à travers le continent.

Forumul European al Tineretului lansează "Capitala Europeană a Tineretului" (EYC) 2028. Acest titlu este atribuit unui oraș european timp de un an pentru a responsabiliza tinerii, a stimula participarea tinerilor și a consolida identitatea europeană. În fiecare an, unui nou oraș european i se oferă șansa de a-și prezenta ideile, proiectele și activitățile inovatoare menite să ridice vocea tinerilor și să aducă o nouă perspectivă a tinerilor în toate aspectele vieții orașului. 

Inițiativa „Capitala europeană a tineretului” își propune să sprijine atât tinerii, cât și orașul pentru a deschide aceste posibilități și pentru a deschide calea pe care alte municipalități europene să o urmeze. 

Un oraș poate deveni o Capitală europeană a tineretului dacă se distinge într-un mod pozitiv și are un program ambițios pentru responsabilizarea tinerilor.

Orașele sunt invitate să își definească viziunea de a deveni Capitala europeană a tineretului 2028 și modul în care aceasta îi poate responsabiliza pe tineri, poate stimula participarea tinerilor și poate aduce schimbări în orașul lor.

Următoarele elemente-cheie sunt esențiale pentru orice candidatură la titlul EYC:

• Dimensiunea europeană.

El foro europeo de juventud lanza el programa Capital Juvenil Europea (EYC) 2018. Este título se asigna a una ciudad europea por un período de un año. La iniciativa capital europea de juventud  alienta al desarrollo de nuevas ideas y proyectos innovadores con respecto a la participación activa de los jóvenes en la sociedad y trate de presentar un modelo de desarrollo para otros municipios europeos. La primera capital de juventud europea es Rotterdam que se declaró capital juvenil europea 2009.

Una ciudad puede convertirse en capital juvenil europea si se distingue de forma positiva y tiene un programa ambicioso para la juventud. The aim of the programme is to bring together high-school students from the EU Member States and offer them an immersive experience in the Chamber of the European Parliament. 
Each year Euroscola invites thousands to spend a day in Strasbourg and become Members of the European Parliament. 
Students experience a day as an MEP, they get the opportunity to interact and exchange information in a foreign language and they are also given the possibility to introduce their school and the region where they come from.

Who can apply:

• Euroscola is designed for students between 16 to 18 years old;
• Students from all 27 European Union Members States can participate;
• Participation is awarded to schools, not individuals;
• Successful candidates get a subsidy towards the cost of their journey to Strasbourg (France).

EUROSCOLA - formålet er at bringe skoleelever fra de 15 medlemslande sammen i Strasbourg. En gruppe på omkring 500 grundskoleelever, som regel fra den samme gruppe, inviteres til at bruge en dag sammen til at reflektere over den effekt den Europæiske integration kan få på deres fremtid.

Ziel des Programms ist es, Schüler aus den EU-Mitgliedstaaten zusammenzubringen und ihnen eine immersive Erfahrung in der Kammer des Europäischen Parlaments zu bieten.
Jedes Jahr lädt Euroscola Tausende ein, einen Tag in Straßburg zu verbringen und Mitglieder des Europäischen Parlaments zu werden.
Die Schülerinnen und Schüler erleben einen Tag als Mitglied des Europäischen Parlaments, sie erhalten die Möglichkeit, in einer Fremdsprache zu interagieren und Informationen auszutauschen, und sie erhalten auch die Möglichkeit, ihre Schule und die Region, aus der sie kommen, vorzustellen.

Wer kann sich bewerben:
- Euroscola richtet sich an Schülerinnen und Schüler im Alter von 16 bis 18 Jahren;
- Schülerinnen und Schüler aus allen 27 Mitgliedstaaten der Europäischen Union können teilnehmen;
- Die Teilnahme wird an Schulen vergeben, nicht an Einzelpersonen;
- Erfolgreiche Kandidaten erhalten einen Reisekostenzuschuss nach Straßburg (Frankreich).

Ogni anno Euroscola invita migliaia di persone a trascorrere una giornata a Strasburgo e diventare membri del Parlamento europeo. Een dag bezoek aan het Europees Parlement in Strasbourg, waarbij de werkwijze van het echte parlement wordt nagespeeld. Zo zijn er discussies, werkgroepen en een plenaire vergadering in de officiële vergaderzaal van het Parlement. Ten slotte wordt er een Euro-quiz gespeeld.

Criteria

Budget/projectfinanciering

Aan de deelnemende scholen wordt een tegemoetkoming in de reiskosten verstrekt. Deze wordt berekend op basis van het aantal deelnemers en het aantal af te leggen kilometers. De subsidie verschilt dus per deelnemende groep.

Evrošola je namenjena srečanju dijakov iz držav članic evropskih skupnosti v Strasbourgu. Skupina približno 500 dijakov, običajno enake starosti, bo skupaj preživela dan ter razmišljala o vplivih evropskega vključevanja na njihovo prihodnost.

Nameni Evrošole:

El objetivo del programa es juntar en Estrasburgo a alumnos de colegios de países de la Unión Europea. Se invita a un grupo de aproximadamente 500 alumnos de la educación secundaria, normalmente de la misma edad, a pasar un día reflexionando juntos sobre los efectos que la integración europea tendrá en su futuro.

Objetivos:
-dar a la gente jóvenes una visión del funcionamiento del Parlamento Europeo;
-dar a los jóvenes una idea de Europa a lo largo de un día de reuniones y debates en temas europeos;
-hacerle conscientes de cuál es el significado el compromiso democrático.

Acciones:
-Los alumnos tendrán que hacer pleno uso de su conocimiento de lenguas para poder comunicarse con sus homólogos de los otros países de la Unión Europea, ya que la traducción está limitada.
-Debates públicos en una lengua extranjera.
-Las partes de trabajo multilingüe.

The aim of the programme is to bring together school children for a day trip in Strasbourg. A group of about 500 secondary-school pupils, usually from the same age group, is invited to spend a day thinking together about the effects that European integration will have on their future.

Aims

The Climate Science Olympiad is inviting young people, under 25 years old, from around the world, to take part in the Climate Science Olympiad 2023, find a solution for the world's biggest climate change problem and become climate leaders of tomorrow. 

What it is

The Climate Science Olympiad will take place online, and consists of four rounds: Qualifier, Quarterfinal, Semi finals and Finals.

Problems will cover 7 different topics: clean energy, agriculture, water resources, biodiversity, sustainable economy, sustainable transportation, and global development. 

Who can apply 

Students and young people between under 16 and 25 years old. They can participate alone or in a team of two. 

How to apply

Participants need to simply register here. The qualifying round is a 25-minute climate quiz, which can be taken online at any time.

Schools can register their qualifier events to allow all students to participate in sync. Upon verification, schools can also get printable versions of the sheets and conduct exams in paper form.

Early Bird participants can attempt the Qualifier up to 5 times. Regular participants can attempt the Qualifier up to 3 times. Take part in the referral programme to get 1 additional attempt per person you refer.

Prizes

All participants will be awarded a certificate for participation, a notable addition to any college application or resume.

Олимпиадата по изучаване на климата ще се проведе онлайн и се състои от четири кръга: квалификации, четвъртфинал, полуфинали и финали.

Първите два кръга са тест с избираеми отговори. В последните два кръга се изисква подробно предложение за решаване на климатичен проблем от реалния свят.

L'Olympiade des sciences du climat invite les jeunes de moins de 25 ans du monde entier à participer à l'Olympiade des sciences du climat 2024, à trouver une solution au plus grand problème du changement climatique dans le monde et à devenir les leaders de demain en matière de climat.

Qu'est-ce que c'est ?

L'Olympiade des sciences du climat se déroulera en ligne et comprendra quatre épreuves : Qualification, quart de finale, demi-finale et finale.

Les deux premières épreuves sont des questionnaires à choix multiples. Dans les deux derniers tours, une proposition détaillée est requise pour résoudre un problème climatique réel.

Les problèmes porteront sur 7 sujets différents : énergie propre, agriculture, ressources en eau, biodiversité, économie durable, transport durable et développement mondial.

Qui peut postuler ?

Les étudiants et les jeunes de moins de 16 ans et de moins de 25 ans. Ils peuvent participer seuls ou en équipe de deux.

Comment s'inscrire ?

Les participants doivent simplement s'inscrire ici. L'épreuve de qualification est un quiz sur le climat d'une durée de 25 minutes, qui peut se faire en ligne à tout moment.

Despre ce este vorba

Olimpiada de științe climatice se va desfășura online și constă în patru runde: calificări, sferturi de finală, semifinale și finală.

La finalità della fondazione Heinz-Schwarzkopf è di promuovere la crescita dei giovani favorendo l'acquisizione di una coscienza politica e di personalità responsabili, e di sostenere il processo europeo. La fondazione, fondata nel 1971 ad Amburgo, possiede una sede a Berlino per il coordinamento delle sue attività nell'Europa orientale. 

Ogni anno la Fondazione Schwarzkopf assegna, in collaborazione con il Parlamento Europeo dei Giovani, il premio "Giovane Europeo dell'Anno".
Si tratta di un'opportunità per nominare un giovane di età compresa tra i 18 ei 26 anni, nell'anno in cui ha ricevuto il premio, che si impegna a rendere l'Europa un posto migliore lavorando per una società europea pluralistica, aperta e solidale o nella lotta contro l'ingiustizia e tutte le forme di discriminazione.

I candidati devono aver raggiunto risultati eccezionali e desiderano promuovere attivamente le loro idee in futuro.

Il premio è finanziato con 5.000 euro per uno stage presso un'istituzione europea.
È anche possibile utilizzare il premio per finanziare un progetto che promuova l'integrazione europea e la solidarietà.

Prémio Jovem Europeu do Ano

Todos os anos a Fundação atribui um prémio, em cooperação com o Parlamento Europeu de Jovens, ao "Jovem Europeu do Ano". Esta é uma oportunidade de premiar um jovem entre os 18 e os 26 anos de idade que se tenha dedicado de uma forma específica à comunicação e integração Europeia. O prémio são 5.000€ destinados ao financiamento de um estágio prático com um Membro do Parlamento Europeu ou outra Instituição Europeia. Sendo também possível o uso do prémio num projeto que promova a integração Europeia.
O prazo de candidatura é a 20 de outubro.

Bolsas de viagem
Todos os anos a Fundação financia 20 a 30 bolsas de viagem para jovens (550 Eur). A bolsa deve permitir aos jovens descobrir e discutir diferentes assuntos políticos e sociais no país que os recebe. Deve ser redigido um relatório final sobre a viagem e as diferentes experiências. Existe um concurso, que se realiza no final de cada não civil,  para os melhores relatórios de viagem.
Os jovens que não sejam de nacionalidade alemã apenas podem obter apoios para viajar na Alemanha e devem ter algum conhecimento de língua alemã.

Os prazo de candidatura para bolsas de viagem são todos os anos no dia 1 de Março e 1 de Setembro.
As candidaturas devem ser submetidas até aproximadamente 8 semanas antes do início da viagem.

Passes InterRail-Global
O passe InterRail-Global é um bilhete que permite aos jovens europeus fazer uma viagem por 30 países europeus incluindo a Turquia durante um mês no máximo.
Só se poderão candidatar a este apoio financeiro jovens entre os 17 e os 25 anos de idade que tenham residido de forma permanente na UE,  GUS ou Turquia durante um mínimo de seis meses na altura da candidatura.

Critérios:
A viagem deve ter um tópico de investigação definido de acordo com a situação cultural ou política actual, no contexto da integração Europeia, que deve ser explicado e elaborado no acto de candidatura. No prazo de 3 meses após a viagem, será pedido ao participante, que envie um relatório detalhado a explicar o tópico de pesquisa, os resultados obtidos e uma reflexão da experiências e impressões da viagem. O relatório será publicado pela Fundação.

Duração:
A viagem deve ser planeada, tendo obrigatoriamente que ter a duração mínima de três semanas e máxima de seis semanas.

Prazos:
1 de Março ou 1 de Setembro. (Por razões administrativas, a viagem deve ter início a 1 de Maio, para o prazo de Março e a 1 de Novembro para o prazo de Setembro).

Fundația Schwarzkopf Young Europe își propune să dezvolte tineri responsabili și cu conștiință politică și să încurajeze sprijinul pentru procesul european.

În fiecare an, Fundația Schwarzkopf acordă, în cooperare cu Parlamentul European al Tinerilor, premiul "Tinerii europeni ai anului".

Această oportunitate permite nominalizarea unui tânăr cu vârsta cuprinsă între 18 și 26 de ani, în anul în care primește premiul, care a demonstrat un angajament pentru îmbunătățirea Europei prin eforturi pentru o societate pluralistă, deschisă și solidară sau în lupta împotriva nedreptății și a discriminării.

Candidații ar trebui să fi obținut rezultate remarcabile și să aspire să militeze activ pentru ideile lor în viitor.

Premiul, în valoare totală de 5 000 EUR, poate fi folosit pentru un stagiu de practică la o instituție europeană sau pentru finanțarea unui proiect de promovare a integrării și solidarității europene.

Nagrada Mladi Evropejec leta
Fundacija od leta 1991 podpira Evropski mladinski parlament. Evropski mladinski parlament podpira evropsko dimenzijo pri izobraževanjuin daje učencem, starim od 16 do 22 let priložnost sodelovati pri praktičnih in pozitivnih učnih izkušnjah. Fundacija vsako leto v sodelovanju z Evropskim mladinskim parlamentom izbere »Mladega Evropejca leta«. To je priložnost, da predlagate mlado osebo, staro od 18 do 28 let, ki se na nek način posvetila Evropskim omunikacijam in integraciji. Štipendije za potovanja
Fundacija vsako leto mladim  podeli 20 do 30 štipendij za mlade (550 evrov). Štipendije naj bi mladim omogočile raziskovanje in razpravljanje o različnih družbenih in političnih vprašanjih v gostiteljski državi. Udeleženci naj bi po potovanju oddali končno poročilo o potovanju in opis pridobljenih izkušenj. Ob koncu vsakega leta je organizirani tekmovanje za najboljše poročilo o potovanju.
Mladi, ki ne prihajajo iz Nemčije lahko dobijo sredstva za potovanje v Nemčijo, pogoj je znanje nemškega jezika.

Prijavni rok za štipendije za potovanja je vsako leto 15. septembra. Prijavnice morajo biti oddane približno osem  tednov pred začetkom potovanja. 

Interrail vozovnice
Interrail vozovnice so namenjene mladim med 17 in 25 let za potovanja po 30 evropskih državah. Če želijo pridobiti vozovnico, morajo imeti v mislih specifično temo za raziskovanje kulturnega in političnega razvoja v kontekstu evropske integracije, ki mora biti obrazložena v prijavi. Po potovanju odda rezultate in vtise, ki jih je štipendijst pridobil na potovanju. Poročilo bo potem objavila Fundacija.

Potovanje mora trajati najmanj tri in največ šest tednov.

Roki za prijavo so 1. marec ali 1. september.

El objetivo de la fundación es apoyar el desarrollo de los jóvenes para que sean individuos responsables y  políticamente conscientes. La Fundación Europea de Juventud Heinz-Schwarzkopf se constituyó en 1971 en Hamburgo. La Fundación cuenta con una oficina en Berlín para coordinar sus actividades en el este de Europa.

Premio Europeo Joven del Año

Cada año, la Fundación en cooperación con el Parlamento Europeo de la Juventud de la premia al " Joven del Año en Europa". Esta es una oportunidad de nominar a una persona joven entre 18 y 28 años que se ha dedicado de modo particular a la comunicación e integración europeas. Becas de viaje
Cada año, la Fundación financia de 20 a 30 becas de viaje para los jóvenes (550 euros). La  beca permite a los jóvenes descubrir y discutir las diferentes cuestiones sociales y políticas en el país de acogida. Un informe final sobre el viaje y las diferentes experiencias se debe escribir después. Hay un concurso de los mejores informes de viaje al final de cada año.
Los jóvenes no alemanes sólo pueden obtener fondos para viajar a Alemania y deben tener un cierto conocimiento de la lengua alemana.

La fecha límite para las solicitudes de becas de viaje son cada año el 1 de marzo y 1 de septiembre.
Las solicitudes deben llegar aproximadamente ocho semanas antes del inicio del viaje.

InterRail Global Passes-
El pase  InterRail Global es una bolsa de viaje que da a los jóvenes la oportunidad de viajar a 30 países europeos, incluyendo Turquía, durante un período máximo de un mes.
El billete se vende generalmente por un importe de 399.
Los jóvenes de entre 17 y 25 años que han vivido de forma permanente en la Unión Europea, la Comunidad de Estados Independientes y Turquía por lo menos durante seis meses en el momento de aplicación puede solicitar esta subvención.

Criterios:
El viaje tiene que tener un tema de investigación definido específicamente en relación con el actual desarrollo cultural o político en el contexto de la integración europea, el cual tendrá que ser explicado y elaborado en la solicitud. A más tardar tres meses después del viaje, el becado deberá presentar un informe detallado explicando el tema de investigación, los resultados concretos y una reflexión sobre las experiencias e impresiones del viaje. El informe será publicado por la Fundación.

Duración:
El viaje tiene que ser planificada y deberá durar un mínimo de tres y un máximo de seis semanas.

Model European Union is an inclusive programme for young people that simulates EU decision-making and fosters personal and professional growth. The 2025 edition takes place from 6 to 10 April in Strasbourg, France.

During the conference, participants play the roles of Ministers of EU Member States, Members of the European Parliament, interest representatives, journalists, and interpreters.

Le modèle de l'Union européenne est une expérience d'apprentissage inclusive pour les jeunes qui simule le processus décisionnel de l'UE et favorise le développement personnel et professionnel. L'édition 2023 (MEUS 2023) aura lieu du 25 novembre au 1er décembre 2023 à Strasbourg, en France.

L'objectif principal de la conférence est de permettre aux participants de se familiariser avec le processus décisionnel et législatif dans l'Union européenne, en particulier avec la procédure législative ordinaire, qui implique à la fois le Parlement européen et le Conseil de l'UE sur un pied d'égalité. Pendant la conférence, les participants jouent le rôle des ministres des États membres de l'UE, des membres du Parlement européen, des représentants d'intérêts, des journalistes et des interprètes.

Thèmes

Au cours du MEUS 2023, les participants discuteront des sujets suivants : le règlement relatif à la loi sur l'industrie à zéro émission nette et la directive sur les poursuites-bâillons.

Ces deux propositions législatives réelles sont liées à deux sujets majeurs de l'agenda européen.

Les participants doivent se familiariser avec les sujets et le matériel préparatoire avant la semaine de conférence.

- Les jeunes de 18 à 30 ans, du monde entier

- Les participants doivent avoir au moins un niveau d'anglais intermédiaire (B1)

Model European Union ist eine integrative Lernerfahrung für Jugendliche, die die Entscheidungsfindung in der EU simuliert und die persönliche und berufliche Entwicklung fördert. Die Ausgabe 2021 (MEUS 2021) findet vom 24. bis 26. September und vom 2. bis 3. Oktober 2021 online statt.
Das Hauptziel der Konferenz ist es, den Teilnehmenden die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich mit der Entscheidungsfindung und der Rechtsetzung in der Europäischen Union vertraut zu machen, insbesondere mit dem ordentlichen Gesetzgebungsverfahren, an dem das Europäische Parlament und der Rat der EU gleichermaßen beteiligt sind. Während der Konferenz schlüpfen die Teilnehmer in die Rollen von Ministern der EU-Mitgliedstaaten, Mitgliedern des Europäischen Parlaments, Interessenvertretern, Journalisten und Dolmetschern.
 

Themen
Während der MEUS 2021 werden die Teilnehmenden über die folgenden Themen diskutieren: einen europäischen Green Deal und ein digitales Europa.
Die beiden Themen, die auf der MEUS 2021 diskutiert werden, sind im Einzelnen
1. ein Vorschlag für eine Verordnung über den Fonds für gerechte Übergänge (siehe 2020/0006(COD)); und
2. ein Vorschlag für eine Verordnung zur Verhinderung der Verbreitung terroristischer Inhalte im Internet (siehe 2018/0331(COD)).
 

Wer kann sich bewerben:
- Junge Menschen im Alter von 18 bis 27 Jahren aus der ganzen Welt.
- Die Teilnehmenden müssen mindestens über ein mittleres (B1) Englischniveau verfügen.

Teilnehmende, die für die MEUS 2020 ausgewählt wurden, die aufgrund des Ausbruchs der COVID-19-Pandemie nicht stattfand, können auch an der MEUS 2021 teilnehmen, auch wenn sie während der Konferenz älter als 27 Jahre sind.

- Minister des Rates der Europäischen Union,

Topics

During MEUS 2023, participants will be discussing the following topics: the Regulation for the Net-Zero Industry Act and the Directive for SLAPP Suits.

These two real-life legislative proposals tie into two prominent topics at the forefront of the European agenda.

Participants need to familiarise themselves with the topics and preparatory material ahead of the conference week.

• Young people from 18 to 30 years old as of November 25th, 2023, from all over the world.
• Participants need to have at least an intermediate (B1) level of English.

"Model European Union" è un'esperienza di apprendimento inclusiva per i giovani che simula il processo decisionale dell'UE e promuove la crescita personale e professionale. L'edizione 2021 (MEUS 2021) si svolge online il 24-26 settembre e il 2-3 ottobre 2021.

Per una settimana i partecipanti hanno l'opportunità di conoscere il lavoro delle istituzioni europee nella sede in cui essi effettivamente si svolgono. Obiettivo della conferenza è di permettere ai partecipanti di conoscere da vicino il processo decisionale e legislativo dell'Unione Europea, che coinvolge sia il Parlamento Europeo che il Consiglio dell'UE. Durante la conferenza i giovani assumono il ruolo di Ministri degli Stati membri UE, i membri del Parlamento Europeo, rappresentanti di interessi, i giornalisti e gli interpreti.

Chi può presentare domanda:
-Giovani tra i 18 e i 27 anni, provenienti da tutto il mondo.
-I partecipanti devono avere almeno un livello intermedio (B1) di inglese. 

Temi
Durante il MEUS 2021, i partecipanti discuteranno i seguenti argomenti: un Green Deal europeo e un'Europa digitale. Nello specifico, i due argomenti discussi al MEUS 2021 sono: una proposta di regolamento sul Fondo per la transizione giusta (2020/0006(COD); euna proposta di regolamento sulla prevenzione della diffusione di contenuti terroristici online (vedi 2018/0331(COD).

I partecipanti selezionati per MEUS 2020, che non si è svolta a causa dell'emergere della pandemia COVID-19, sono ammissibili anche a partecipare a MEUS 2021, anche se hanno più di 27 anni durante la conferenza.

Model European Union is a simulation of the decision-making and legislative procedures in the European Union, bringing together young Europeans at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, from 14 to 21 March 2020.
For one week, the participants have the opportunity to learn about the workings of EU institutions at the actual seat of the European democratic process. The main purpose of the conference is to allow its participants to become acquainted with decision-making and law-making in the European Union, in particular with the ordinary legislative procedure, which involves both the European Parliament and the Council of the EU on an equal basis. During the conference, participants play the roles of the Ministers of the EU Member States, Members of the European Parliament, interest representatives, journalists and interpreters.

• For the role of the Member of the Parliament and Minister of the Council, entrants will have to submit a tailored CV, Motivation Letter and a Speech.
• For the role of the Interest Representative, entrants will have to submit a tailored CV, Motivation Letter and a Role-specific task.
• For the role of the Interpreter, entrants will have to submit a tailored CV, Motivation Letter and a Transcript of Records.
• For the role of the Journalist and Videographer, entrants will have to submit a tailored CV, Motivation Letter and Examples of your work.
• For the role of the Photographer, entrants will have to submit a tailored CV, Motivation Letter and a Portfolio.

Participation Fee
Selected applicants will have to pay a participation fee of 160€. The participation fee for Strasbourg residents and photographers is 75€.
The participation fee covers costs related to accommodation, food (breakfasts, lunches and most dinners), social activities around Strasbourg and public transportation. Participants are still advised to bring money with them to cover the costs of free time periods and additional food or drinks.

A travers son Prix de la société civile, le Comité économique et social européen récompense l'excellence dans les initiatives de la société civile. Le thème du Prix 2021 est : « l’action climatique».

Ce Prix a pour but de récompenser et d'encourager des initiatives et réalisations concrètes menées à bien par des personnes et/ou d'organisations de la société civile sur le territoire de l’UE et qui ont pour but de promouvoir une transition vers une économie à faible émission de carbone et low-carbone et résistante aux phénomènes climatiques.

Pour être éligibles les initiatives devront avoir déjà été mises en oeuvre ou avoir commencé et devront couvrir au moins un des domaines suivants (liste non exhaustive, liste complète ici) :

Les initiatives éligibles devront se concentrer leurs actions pour :

• Promouvoir un engagement total et/ou la reconnaissance de la transition vers une société neutre en carbone par la société civile 

• Promouvoir la participation des citoyens dans le débat climatique

• Promouvoir la sensibilisation contre le réchauffement climatique parmi les consommateurs ou encourager le changements de nos comportements

• Concevoir ou mettre en oeuvre des projets qui luttent activement pour des politiques climatiques fortes aux niveau local, régional, national ou européen

• Promouvoir la justice climatique au sens large en considérant les droits humains et la responsabilité sociale des entreprises

• Promouvoir l’éducation climatique à l’école à tous les niveaux

• Promouvoir l’engagement de la société civile dans la mise en oeuvre des politiques climatiques aux niveaux local, régional, national ou européen

Eligibilité

Le prix du CESE est ouvert aux organisations de la société civile enregistrées officiellement dans l'Union européenne et qui exercent leur action au niveau local, national, régional ou européen. Il peut également récompenser des personnes à titre individuel. Les ressortissants de pays tiers peuvent participer, à condition de résider légalement sur le territoire de l'UE.

Der Europäische Wirtschafts- und Sozialausschuss würdigt Spitzenleistungen im Bereich zivilgesellschaftlicher Initiativen mit seinem jährlichen Preis für die Zivilgesellschaft. Das Thema des Preises 2021 lautet: "Klimaschutz".
Mit dem Preis werden innovative Initiativen gewürdigt, die von Organisationen der Zivilgesellschaft und / oder Einzelpersonen auf dem Gebiet der EU durchgeführt werden und die einen gerechten Übergang zu einer kohlenstoffarmen und klimaresistenten Wirtschaft fördern sollen.

Förderfähige Initiativen sollten bereits umgesetzt oder begonnen worden sein und mindestens einen der folgenden Bereiche abdecken (nicht erschöpfende Liste, vollständige Liste hier):

•     Förderung der vollen Einbeziehung und/oder Akzeptanz der Zivilgesellschaft beim Übergang zu einer klimaneutralen Gesellschaft;
•     Förderung der Beteiligung der Bürger an der Klimadebatte;
•     Förderung des Klimabewusstseins von Verbrauchern oder Förderung von Verhaltensänderungen;

Premiul este deschis organizațiilor societății civile (ONG-uri) înregistrate oficial în Uniunea Europeană și care acționează la nivel local, național, regional sau european. De asemenea, este deschis și persoanelor fizice. Cetățenii țărilor terțe sunt, de asemenea, eligibili, cu condiția să aibă reședința legală pe teritoriul UE.

The aim of the 2018 prize is to reward and encourage tangible initiatives and achievements by civil society organisations and/or individuals that have made a significant contribution to promoting European identity and integration. Its overall objective is to raise awareness of the multiple layers and richness of European identities, exploiting the full potential of Europe's cultural wealth, facilitating access to European cultural heritage and promoting European values (respect for human dignity and human rights, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law).

Eligible initiatives should cover at least one of the following areas:

• promoting European values (respect for human dignity and human rights, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law) through culture;
• promoting the respect of cultural, religious and linguistic diversity and of the freedom of the arts as European fundamental rights;
• promoting the right to freedom of expression and the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and to freedom of association at all levels;
• raising awareness of the wealth of Europe's cultural heritage in a broad sense, i.e. both tangible heritage (monuments, buildings, ...) and intangible heritage and its impact on contemporary creation (performing arts, visual arts, literature, media etc.);

The European Commission is organising an online translation contest to give secondary school students a first-hand experience of what it is like to be a translator.

Contest Details:

• Students must be 17 years old.
• Students choose their starting and target languages from the EU official languages.
• Test Date: 28 November 28 2024, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CET.
• Test Location: Schools' premises.
• Translations must be saved and submitted on the contest platform.

School Requirements:

• Located in an EU country.
• Recognised by educational authorities.
• Have necessary IT equipment.
• Select 2-5 students born in 2007.
• Selected schools must register on the contest platform by 19 November 2024, 12 PM CET

Prize

The best translator from each EU country will be invited to Brussels for an awards ceremony.

Travel and accommodation costs will be covered for one winner, one teacher, and one accompanying adult per country.

La Commission européenne organise un concours de traduction en ligne pour permettre aux jeunes de l'enseignement secondaire de se faire une idée concrète du métier de traducteur. Les élèves, âgés de 17 ans, sont invités à traduire un texte court.

L'objectif est que les jeunes fassent l'expérience de ce qu'est un traducteur professionnel. Ils doivent traduire comme s'ils écrivaient pour des jeunes de leur âge, afin de les aider à comprendre un message écrit dans une autre langue.

Les participants seront jugés sur leurs efforts et leur capacité à utiliser correctement les termes et à écrire couramment dans la langue choisie, sur la lisibilité générale de la traduction et sur la créativité des solutions trouvées.

Langues

Les étudiants peuvent décider eux-mêmes de la langue du texte de départ et de la langue dans laquelle ils souhaitent le traduire, parmi les langues officielles de l'UE : allemand, anglais, bulgare, croate, danois, espagnol, estonien, finnois, français, grec, hongrois, irlandais, italien, letton, lituanien, maltais, néerlandais, polonais, portugais, roumain, slovaque, slovène, tchèque et suédois.

Le choix de chaque participant doit être indiqué lors de l'inscription. Ce choix ne peut être modifié après la date limite du 16 novembre 2023.

Le concours

• L'épreuve de traduction se déroulera simultanément dans toutes les écoles participantes entre 10h et 12h (heure d'Europe centrale), le 23 novembre 2023.
•    L'épreuve se déroulera dans les locaux des écoles et les traductions originales devront être sauvegardées et soumises sur la plateforme du concours.

Les écoles participantes doivent :

• être situées dans un pays de l'UE
• être reconnues par les autorités éducatives d'un ou de plusieurs pays de l'UE
• disposer de l'équipement informatique nécessaire pour effectuer le test correctement et dans des conditions impartiales
• s'inscrire sur la plateforme du concours avant le 16 octobre 2023, 12 heures CET
• sélectionner entre 2 et 5 élèves nés en 2006, inscrits de manière permanente dans l'école, et saisir leurs noms et paires de langues sur la plateforme du concours au plus tard le 16 novembre 2023, 12h00 CET

Sélection des écoles

Parmi les écoles qui ont soumis leur formulaire d'inscription dans les délais, un certain nombre sera sélectionné par tirage au sort.

Le nombre d'écoles sélectionnées dans chaque pays de l'UE sera égal au nombre de sièges dont dispose le pays au Parlement européen. La liste des écoles sélectionnées sera publiée sur le site web de Juvenes Translatores avant la fin du mois d'octobre 2023.

Dans les écoles sélectionnées au hasard parmi celles qui se sont inscrites, les élèves désignés s'assiéront ce jour-là sous la supervision de leur professeur et traduiront le texte choisi.

Prix

Les noms des lauréats seront annoncés au début du mois de février 2024. Les meilleurs traducteurs, un par pays de l'UE, seront invités à Bruxelles au printemps 2024 pour une cérémonie de remise des prix.

Die Europäische Kommission organisiert einen Schulwettbewerb, um jungen Menschen aus erster Hand zu vermitteln, wie es ist, Übersetzer/in zu sein. Schülerinnen und Schüler im Alter von 17 Jahren werden aufgefordert, einen kurzen Text zu übersetzen.

Ziel ist es, jungen Menschen zu vermitteln, wie es ist, ein professioneller Übersetzer zu sein. Sie sollen so übersetzen, als ob sie für junge Leute ihres Alters schreiben würden, um ihnen zu helfen, eine in einer anderen Sprache verfasste Botschaft zu verstehen.
Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer werden für ihre Bemühungen und ihre Fähigkeit, Begriffe korrekt zu verwenden und fliessend in der gewählten Sprache zu schreiben, für die allgemeine Lesbarkeit der Übersetzung und für die Kreativität der gefundenen Lösungen beurteilt.

Die Sprachen:
Die Schülerinnen und Schüler können selbst entscheiden, welche Sprache der Ausgangstext haben soll und in welche Sprache sie ihn übersetzen möchten, wobei sie unter den offiziellen Sprachen der EU wählen können: Bulgarisch, Dänisch, Deutsch, Englisch, Estnisch, Finnisch, Französisch, Griechisch, Irisch, Italienisch, Kroatisch, Lettisch, Litauisch, Maltesisch, Niederländisch, Polnisch, Portugiesisch, Rumänisch, Schwedisch, Slowakisch, Slowenisch, Spanisch, Tschechisch und Ungarisch.
Bei der Anmeldung muss die Wahl der Sprachkombination jedes Teilnehmers angegeben werden. Die Wahl kann nach Ablauf der Frist bis zum 16. November 2021 nicht mehr geändert werden.

Der Wettbewerb

• Der Übersetzungstest wird am 25. November 2021 zwischen 10.00 und 12.00 Uhr Brüsseler Zeit in allen teilnehmenden Schulen gleichzeitig durchgeführt.
• Der Test findet in den Räumlichkeiten der Schulen statt, und die handschriftlichen Originalübersetzungen müssen an diesen Tagen per Post oder Kurierdienst eingesandt werden.  

Die teilnehmenden Schulen müssen

• in einem EU-Mitgliedstaat ansässig sein,
• von den Bildungsbehörden des Mitgliedstaates als Teil des regionalen oder nationalen Bildungssystems anerkannt sein
• über die notwendige IT verfügen, um den Ausgangstext für den Test ordnungsgemäß zu erhalten, sowie über einen Computer, der PDF-Dateien öffnen und ausdrucken kann (die Tests und die Übersetzungsbögen werden in diesem Format versandt), zwischen 2 und 5 Studierende des Jahrgangs 2004 auswählen und ihre Namen und Sprachpaare bis spätestens 16. November 2021, 12.00 Uhr MEZ, in die Wettbewerbsplattform eingeben.

Auswahl der Schulen:
Unter den Schulen, die ihr Anmeldeformular fristgerecht eingereicht haben, wird eine bestimmte Anzahl nach dem Zufallsprinzip ausgelost.
Die Anzahl der ausgewählten Schulen aus jedem Mitgliedstaat entspricht der Anzahl der Sitze des Mitgliedstaates im Europäischen Parlament. Die Liste der ausgewählten Schulen wird bis Ende Oktober 2021 auf der Website von Juvenes Translatores veröffentlicht.
In den Schulen, die nach dem Zufallsprinzip aus den Anmeldungen ausgewählt wurden, setzen sich die nominierten Schülerinnen und Schüler an diesem Tag unter der Aufsicht ihrer Lehrkraft zusammen und übersetzen den ausgewählten Text.

Preis
Die besten Übersetzer, einer aus jedem Mitgliedstaat, werden im Frühjahr 2022 zu einer Preisverleihung nach Brüssel eingeladen.
Die Europäische Kommission wird für einen Gewinner, einen Lehrer und eine erwachsene Begleitperson pro Mitgliedstaat Reise und Unterkunft organisieren und bezahlen.

Az Európai Bizottság online fordítási versenyt szervez középiskolás diákok számára annak érdekében, hogy a fiatalok első kézből tapasztalhassák meg, milyen is fordítónak le. A versenyben 17 éves diákok vehetnek részt, akiknek egy rövid szöveget kell majd lefordítaniuk. 

The aim is for young people to experience what it is like to be a professional translator. They should translate as if writing for young people of their own age, to help them understand a message written in another language.

The participants will be judged for their efforts and ability to use terms correctly and write fluently in the chosen language, the general readability of the translation, and the creativity of the solutions found.

Languages:

The students themselves can decide the language of the starting text and into what language they want to translate it, chosen from among the EU official languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish and Swedish.

Each participant’s choice of language pair must be stated on registration. The choice cannot be changed after the 16 November 2023 deadline.

The contest

• The translation test will be carried out simultaneously in all participating schools between 10.00 and 12.00 PM (Central European Time), on 23 November 2023.
• The test will take place in the schools' premises and the original translations must be saved and submitted on the contest platform.

Participating schools must

• be located in an EU country,
• be recognised by the educational authorities of one or more EU country/countries,
• have the necessary IT equipment in order to carry out the test properly and in impartial conditions,
• register on the contest platform by 16 October 2023, 12 PM CET,
• select between 2 and 5 students born in 2006, who are permanently enrolled in the school, and enter their names and language pairs in the contest platform by 16 November 2023, 12.00 midday CET at the latest.

Selection of schools

Among the schools that have submitted their registration form in due order, a certain number will be selected through a random draw.

The number of schools selected from each EU country will be equal to the number of seats the country has in the European Parliament. The list of selected schools will be published on the Juvenes Translatores website by the end of October 2023.

In the schools, that have been selected at random from among those registering, the nominated students will sit down on that day under the supervision of their teacher and translate the chosen text.

Prize

Winners will be announced by the beginning of February 2024. The best translators, one from each EU country, will be invited to Brussels in spring 2024 for an awards ceremony.

The European Commission will arrange and pay for travel and accommodation for one winner, one teacher and one accompanying adult per country.

La Commissione Europea ha organizzato un concorso per le scuole europee mirato ad offrire ai giovani un'esperienza diretta di cosa significa essere un traduttore.

L'obiettivo è che i giovani facciano l'esperienza di cosa significhi essere un traduttore professionista. I giovani dovranno tradurre come se si rivolgessero ai loro coetanei per aiutarli a comprendere un messaggio scritto in un'altra lingua. I partecipanti verranno giudicati per i loro sforzi e la loro capacità nell'utilizzo corretto dei termini e una scrittura fluida nella lingua prescelta, la generale leggibilità della traduzione e la creatività delle soluzioni trovate.

Lingue:
Gli studenti stessi possono decidere la lingua del testo di partenza e in quale lingua desiderano tradurre tra le 24 lingue ufficiali UE, ad es. bulgaro, ceco, croato, danese, olandese, inglese, estone, finlandese, francese, tedesco, greco, ungherese, irlandese, Italiano, lituano, lettone, maltese, polacco, portoghese, rumeno, slovacco, sloveno, spagnolo e svedese.

Il concorso:
- Il concorso si svolge simultaneamente in tutte le scuole partecipanti il 24 novembre 2022.
- A partire da quest'anno il concorso sarà online.

Le scuole partecipanti devono:
- avere sede in uno degli Stati membri UE,
- essere riconosciute dalle autorità didattiche dello Stato membro come parte del sistema educativo regionale o nazionale,
- possedere i necessari supporti informatici per poter ricevere il testo della prova.
- Le scuole selezionate devono designare da due a cinque alunni nati nel 2005 e registrare i loro nomi e le coppie di lingue da loro prescelte nella banca dati del concorso entro il 16 novembre 2022.

Tra le scuole che hanno presentato il loro modulo di registrazione entro i tempi e i modi stabiliti, un certo numero di esse verrà selezionata per estrazione.Il numero di scuole selezionate per ogni Stato membro è uguale al numero di seggi che il paese detiene nel Parlamento europeo. Nelle scuole sorteggiate tra quelle che hanno effettuato la registrazione, gli studenti nominati sosterranno la prova il giorno stabilito sotto la supervisione del loro insegnante e tradurranno il testo scelto.

Premio:
I 28 migliori traduttori, uno per ciascun Stato membro verranno invitati a Bruxelles nella primavera 2023 per una cerimonia di premiazione.

A Comissão Europeia está a organizar um concurso de tradução online para proporcionar aos estudantes do ensino secundário uma experiência em primeira mão do que é ser tradutor.

La Comisión Europea organiza un concurso escolar para dar a los jóvenes una experiencia directa de lo que es ser un traductor. Los estudiantes, de 17 años tienen el reto de traducir un texto breve.

El objetivo es que los jóvenes experimenten lo que es ser un traductor profesional. Ellos deben traducir como si escribieran para los jóvenes de su misma edad, para ayudarles a entender un mensaje escrito en otro idioma.
Los participantes serán juzgados por sus esfuerzos y su capacidad para utilizar los términos correctos y escribir con fluidez en el idioma elegido, por la legibilidad general de la traducción y por la creatividad de las soluciones encontradas.

Idiomas:
Los alumnos podrán decidir el idioma del texto de partida y en el idioma que desean traducir, escogidos entre las 24 lenguas oficiales de la UE, es decir, búlgaro, croata, checo, danés, holandés, inglés, estonio, finlandés, francés, alemán, griego , húngaro, irlandés, italiano, letón, lituano, maltés, polaco, portugués, rumano, eslovaco, esloveno, español y sueco.

El concurso:

La prueba de traducción se llevará a cabo de forma simultánea en todas las escuelas participantes en un plazo determinado, entre las 10.00 y las 12.00 del 27 de noviembre de 2014.
La prueba se llevará a cabo en las instalaciones de las escuelas.

Las escuelas participantes deben:
-encontrarse en un Estado miembro de la UE,
-estar reconocidas por las autoridades educativas del Estado miembro en el marco del sistema educativo regional o nacional
-tener la tecnología necesaria con el fin de recibir el texto de origen para realizar la prueba correctamente
-seleccionar entre 2 y 5 alumnos nacidos en 1997 e introducir sus nombres y los idiomas elegidos en la base de datos el 20 de noviembre de 2014 a más tardar.

La selección de las escuelas:
Entre las escuelas que han presentado su formulario de inscripción en el orden debido, un cierto número serán seleccionadas a través de un sorteo al azar. El número de centros seleccionados en cada Estado miembro será igual al número de escaños que el Estado miembro tiene en el Parlamento Europeo. En las escuelas que han sido seleccionadas al azar, de entre aquellas que se inscriban, los estudiantes seleccionados se sentarán ese día bajo la supervisión de su maestro y traducirán el texto seleccionado.

Premio:
Los 28 mejores traductores, uno por cada Estado miembro, serán invitados a Bruselas en la primavera de 2014 para la ceremonia de entrega de premios.

Te podías registrar desde el 1 de septiembre al 20 octubre de 2014. También podías enviar tus preguntas al equipo de Juvenes Translatores o pedir información a la persona de contacto del concurso en la Representación de la Comisión en su Estado miembro.

The European Commission is organising a school contest to give young people a first-hand experience of what it is like to be a translator. Students, aged 17 are challenged to translate a short text.

About

The aim is that young people experience what it is like to be a professional translator. They should translate as if writing for young people of their own age, to help them understand a message written in another language. The participants will be judged for their efforts and ability to use terms correctly and write fluently in the chosen language, the general readability of the translation and the creativity of the solutions found.

Languages

The students themselves can decide the language of the starting text and into what language they want to translate it, chosen from among the EU official languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish and Swedish.
Each participant’s choice of language pair must be stated on registration. The choice cannot be changed after the 15 November 2020 deadline.

The contest

• The translation test will be carried out simultaneously in all participating schools between 10.00 and 12.00 Brussels time, on 26 November 2020.
• The test will take place in the schools' premises and the original handwritten translations must be sent on these days by mail or courier service.  

Eligibility

Participating schools must

• be located in an EU Member State,
• be recognised by the educational authorities of the Member State as part of the regional or national educational system
• have the necessary IT in order to receive the source text for the test properly and a computer that can open and print PDF files (the tests and the translation sheets will be sent in this format) select between 2 and 5 students born in 2003 and enter their names and language pairs in the contest platform by 19 November 2020, 12.00 midday CET at the latest.

Selection of schools

Among the schools that have submitted their registration form in due order, a certain number will be selected through a random draw.
The number of schools selected from each Member State will be equal to the number of seats the Member State has in the European Parliament. The list of selected schools will be published on the Juvenes Translatores website by the end of October 2020.
In the schools, which have been selected at random from among those registering, the nominated students will sit down on that day under the supervision of their teacher and translate the chosen text.

Prize

The best translators, one from each Member State, will be invited to Brussels in Spring 2021 for an awards ceremony.
The European Commission will arrange and pay for travel and accommodation for one winner, one teacher and one accompanying adult per Member State.

The International Youth Think Tank is inviting young people to take part to the International Youth Conference and get the chance of discussing a democratic and open society together with European decision makers.
Participants will have the opportunity to submit a personal presentation and argumentation of why they should be the chosen.

The conference is going to take place between 20 and 23 November 2023 in Barcelona, Spain, the first European Capital of Democracy.
The overall goal for the conference is to stand up for an open and democratic society, to empower people, and to resist the pessimistic ideas of nationalism and polarisation.
