The James Dyson Award is an international student design competition supporting current university students and recent graduates of engineering and design disciplines who have innovative problem-solving ideas.

Who can apply

Eligible participants must have graduated within the last 4 years in engineering, product design, or industrial design and must be from the eligible countries.

Teams can participate in the award, as long as the team leader has studied one of the qualifying subjects and all team members have been enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program within the last 4 years.

Prizes

• International Winner

- €36,000 for the winning individual or team and €5,700 for the institution where the winner studies or previously studied 

• Sustainability winner

- €36,000 for the winning individual or team

• International Runners-up:

- €6,000 to the entrant (or as applicable the team)

• National Winners from each Eligible Country:

- €6,000 to the entrant (or as applicable the team) 

In addition, all the winners will receive a James Dyson Award Certificate.

Application

Applicants must register and provide proof of their student or recent graduate status in a qualifying subject. Entries should be submitted in English, but additional submissions in other languages are optional.

They can upload up to five images, each up to 3MB, including one feature image. Additionally, a video can be included, which should be under 3 minutes long and showcase the design's development process and prototype in action. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo prior to submission.

Candidature

Afin de soumettre un projet, les candidats devront se créer un profil sur le site du James Dyson Award, puis fournir :

• Une description de leur projet : ce qui les a inspiré, le processus de développement qu’ils ont choisi, le fonctionnement et l’usage de leur innovation. La première partie doit être remplie en français et la seconde partie en anglais. La description ne doit pas dépasser 200 mots.
• Des images, croquis, sketchs de leur projet : au crayon, à l’ordinateur, sous toutes les formes qu’ils souhaitent. Il faudra également soumettre une image de leur projet avec un fond blanc. Chaque image doit peser minimum 1MB mais ne doit pas dépasser 3MB.
• Une vidéo de leur projet. Cet élément n’est pas obligatoire mais vivement recommandé. Elle doit reprendre leur démarche, montrer les différentes facettes du développement. Elle ne doit pas durer plus de 3mn. La vidéo doit être uploadée sur Youtube ou Vimeo.

Les participants peuvent envoyer autant de projets qu’ils souhaitent.

Inoltre deve essere presentata una descrizione del progetto, che sottolinea lo scopo e la funzione. Devono essere presentate due versioni, la prima nella lingua madre del candidato e la seconda in inglese. La descrizione non deve superare le 200 parole. Il James Dyson Award è l'occasione per farsi conoscere come inventore. The Prize plays tribute to the Maltese anti-corruption investigative journalist and blogger who was assassinated in a car bomb attack in 2017.

Individual professional journalists or teams of professional journalists of any nationality.

• Entries must have been published/broadcast in print, audiovisual or online media outlets based in one of the 27 EU Member States between 1 September 2024 and 31 July 2025. They can be submitted via the online platform in all EU official languages. A summary in English (500 words) must be provided.

Podem ser apresentadas através da plataforma online em todas as línguas oficiais da UE. O formulário de candidatura deve incluir um resumo em inglês (máximo de 500 palavras).

Os trabalhos podem ter um ou vários autores. Os participantes devem ser os autores e os detentores dos direitos de autor e dos direitos morais do seu trabalho. Premiul îi aduce un omagiu jurnalistei de investigație anticorupție și bloggeriței malteze Daphne Caruana Galizia, care a fost asasinată într-un atac capcană în 2017.

Cine poate candida?

Jurnaliști profesioniști individuali sau echipe de jurnaliști profesioniști de orice naționalitate.

Cum se depune candidatura?

Înscrierile trebuie să fi fost publicate/ promovate în presa scrisă, audiovizuală sau online, cu sediul într-unul dintre cele 27 de state membre ale UE, între 1 septembrie 2023 și 31 iulie 2024. Acestea pot fi trimise prin intermediul platformei online în toate limbile oficiale ale UE. Un rezumat în limba engleză (maximum 500 de cuvinte) trebuie să fie furnizat în formularul de trimitere.

Lucrările pot avea unul sau mai mulți autori. Participanții trebuie să fie autorii și deținătorii drepturilor de autor și ai drepturilor morale asupra operei lor. Candidaturile pot fi depuse de către autorii înșiși sau de către organizații și asociații profesionale din domeniul mass-media în numele acestora.

Who can apply

All EU cities of over 50 000 inhabitants and urban areas composed of two or more towns with a combined population of over 50,000 inhabitants, if they are in EU countries with fewer than 2 cities with over 50 000 inhabitants.

Prizes

The winner and runners-up will receive a monetary prize:

• 1st place: EUR 150 000

Special award

This year, a Special Mention for Accessibility in Housing is awarded to a city that tackles the housing crisis while prioritising accessibility for people with disabilities.

- améliorer la qualité de vie de sa population et veiller à ce que chacun, indépendamment de son âge, de sa mobilité ou de ses capacités, ait un accès égal à toutes les ressources et à tous les plaisirs que les villes ont à offrir.

Cette édition aura une mention spéciale pour les villes dont le travail sur l'accessibilité est aligné sur les valeurs du Nouveau Bauhaus européen : durabilité, esthétique et inclusivité.

Qui peut participer

Les Prix sont ouverts à toutes les villes de l’UE de plus de 50 000 habitants et aux zones urbaines constituées de plusieurs villes, ayant une population totale de plus de 50 000 habitants et situées dans un pays de l’UE comptant moins de deux villes de plus de 50 000 habitants.

L'organisme soumissionnaire doit être une autorité gouvernementale de l'un des États membres de l'UE.

Sélection

Les jurys examinent les mesures prises et prévues dans les domaines suivants:

• l’environnement bâti et les espaces publics

• l’information et la communication
• les installations et services publics

Prix

Wer kann sich bewerben?
Der Award steht allen EU-Städten mit mehr als 50.000 Einwohnern und städtischen Gebieten offen, die aus zwei oder mehr Städten mit einer Gesamtbevölkerung von mehr als 50.000 Einwohnern bestehen.
Die einreichende Stelle muss eine staatliche Behörde in einem der EU-Mitgliedstaaten sein.

Preise
Die Europäische Kommission vergibt an den ersten Gewinner und die beiden Nächstplatzierten jeweils einen Geldpreis wie folgt:

1. Preis: 150 000 € (Gewinner des Titels "Barrierefreie Stadt 2022") 
2. Preis: 120 000 € (Gewinner des zweiten Platzes)

The European Prize for Women Innovators celebrates the outstanding achievements of women entrepreneurs driving positive change for people and the planet through their innovative ventures.

Eligibility

All applicants must:

• Be a woman legally established in an EU Member State (including overseas countries and territories, OCTs) or a country associated to Horizon Europe.
• Be the founder or co-founder of an innovative company registered at least 2 years before the call year.
• Those applying for the Rising Innovators category must be under 35.
• Those applying to the EIT category, must have a direct link to the EIT Community/ one of the existing Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).

Prizes

There are three prize categories:

1. EIC Women Innovators: open to women founders and co-founders from the EU and Associated Countries. Three prizes of EUR 100 000, EUR 70 000 and EUR 50 000 are awarded to the three highest-ranked applications.

Eligibilité

El Premio Mujer Innovadora anima a aumentar la atención pública en la necesidad de  investigaciones sobre como explotar comercialmente las oportunidades de negocio para mujeres para que se conviertan en empresarias y ayuden a lograr los objetivos de la estrategia Europa 2020. La comisión europea concederá hasta tres premios sobre los resultados que han sido ya obtenidos, no a proyectos en curso.

Eligibilidad

- Sólo podrán participar mujeres

- Deberán residir en un país de la UE o zona del programa Horizonte 2020.

- Deberán ser fundadoras de una empresa registrada antes del 1 de enero de 2013.

La facturación anual de la empresa tuvo que ser al menos de 0,10 millones de euros en el 2012 o 2013.
Tanto el candidato como la persona física o la empresa fundada/co-fundada por el candidato deben haber recibido o están recibiendo financiación de la Unión Europea, del Programa Marco de EURATOM  o del Programa Marco de la competitividad y la Innovación (CIP), o acciones relacionadas con búsqueda y la innovación de Dondos Estructurados y de Investigación (prioritario en 2014 conocodo como Fondos Estructurales).

• any entrepreneur, company, student group or project team from UN and UNESCO member states 
• the majority of the team must be under the age of 26 (born on or after 1 January 1999)

How to apply

• apply through the online application form
• submissions for the WSA Young Innovators can contain all mobile and web-based projects, such as: apps, web pages, applications for wearables, kiosk installations, SMS based products, games and interactive productions (there is no limitation regarding the platforms or channels the projects work with)
• all submissions have to be launched products (no drafts, ideas or unfinished projects can be accepted)
• all submissions must be in English.

Le Prix du sommet mondial (WSA) pour les jeunes innovateurs est une reconnaissance spéciale pour les jeunes entrepreneurs de moins de 26 ans, qui utilisent les TIC pour mettre en œuvre des actions en lien avec les objectifs de développement durable (ODD) des Nations Unies.

Depuis 2020, le Prix de la Jeunesse européenne (EYA) a rejoint le Prix du sommet mondial (WSA) pour encourager l’impact social et environnemental, proposer un soutien et de plus grandes opportunités pour les jeunes entrepreneurs numériques du monde entier.

Critères d’éligibilité 

• La participation au Le Prix du sommet mondial (WSA) pour les jeunes innovateurs est ouverte à tous les entrepreneurs, les entreprises, les groupes d’étudiants et les projets d’équipes des Etats membres des Nations Unies.
• Au moins un des membres fondateurs et la majorité des membres de l’équipe doivent avoir moins de 26 ans (être né, au plus tôt, le 1er janvier 1997).

• Postuler à l’aide du formulaire de candidature en ligne

Der WSA (World Summit Awards) Young Innovators ist eine besondere Anerkennung für junge Sozialunternehmer unter 26 Jahren, die IKT nutzen, um Maßnahmen zur Erreichung der Ziele der Vereinten Nationen für nachhaltige Entwicklung (UN SDGs) zu ergreifen.
Zusammen mit den WSA-Preisträgern jedes Jahres werden sie als herausragende digitale Innovation mit sozialer Wirkung geehrt.
Ab 2020 wird der EYA (Europäischer Jugendpreis) Teil des WSA, um eine sozial nachhaltige Wirkung zu fördern, Unterstützung und breitere Möglichkeiten für junge digitale Unternehmer weltweit anzubieten.

Kriterien für die Teilnahmeberechtigung
- die Teilnahme am WSA Junge Innovatoren steht allen Unternehmern, Unternehmen, Studentengruppen oder Projektteams aus UN-Mitgliedsstaaten offen
- Mindestens eines der Gründungsmitglieder und die Mehrheit des Teams müssen unter 26 Jahre alt sein (geboren am oder nach dem 1. Januar 1995)

Wie man sich bewirbt
- über das Online-Bewerbungsformular
- Einreichungen für die WSA Young Innovators können alle mobilen und webbasierten Projekte enthalten, wie z.B.: Apps, Webseiten, Anwendungen für Wearables, Kiosk-Installationen, SMS-basierte Produkte, Spiele und interaktive Produktionen (es gibt keine Beschränkung bezüglich der Plattformen oder Kanäle, mit denen die Projekte arbeiten)
- alle Einreichungen müssen entwickelte Produkte sein (es können keine Entwürfe, Ideen oder unvollendete Projekte angenommen werden)

Eligibility criteria

• the participation in the WSA Young Innovators is open to any entrepreneur, company, student group or project team from UN and UNESCO member states 
• at least one of the founding members and the majority of the team must be under the age of 26 (born on or after 1 January 1997)

How to apply

• apply through the online application form
• submissions for the WSA Young Innovators can contain all mobile and web-based projects, such as: apps, web pages, applications for wearables, kiosk installations, SMS based products, games and interactive productions (there is no limitation regarding the platforms or channels the projects work with)
• all submissions have to be launched products (no drafts, ideas or unfinished projects can be accepted)
• all information entered in the application form must be in English

Os Prémios Juventude da Cimeira Mundial (WSYA) convidam uma vez mais jovens designers, criadores de conteúdos eletrónicos, escritores e bloggers de todo o mundo para participarem com os seus projetos numa competição internacional de multimédia:  usando a internet e telemóveis para colocar os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento do Milénio (ODM) em Ação! Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Os Prémios Juventude da Cimeira Mundial selecionam e promovem as melhores práticas em e-content e criatividade tecnológica, demonstram o potencial dos jovem para criar excelentes conteúdos digitais e servem como uma plataforma para as pessoas de todos os estados membros da ONU trabalharem juntos nos esforços para reduzir a pobreza e a fome, e para combater a falta de cuidados de saúde, a desigualdade de gênero, a falta de educação, a falta de acesso a água potável e a degradação ambiental.

e-conteúdos e projetos de telemóveis por jovens com menos de 30 anos de idade podem ser apresentados nas seguintes seis categorias:

1. Combate à pobreza, fome e doença

2. Educação para todos

3. Poder para as Mulheres

4. Criar a sua cultura

5. Garantir a sustentabilidade ambiental

6. Buscar a verdade

Critérios de elegibilidade:

 - Os projetos tem de estar concluidos à data de 01 de janeiro de 2012 (um produto, projeto ou aplicação que tenha sido submetido anteriormente deverá documentar quais as alterações ou melhorias introduzidas e/ou adições feitas no periodo depois);

 - Os projetos devem ter sido elaborados e executados por jovens com menos de 30 anos (data de nascimento 01.01.1984);

 - Os produtos devem ser totalmente funcionais e operacionais aquando da submissão da candidatura;

 - Os produtos devem ser acessiveis através da Internet;

- As submissões devem ser isentas de comentários ofensivos e/ou conteúdos plagiados e devem ser executados por uma pessoa autorizada; 

 - Em caso de candidaturas múltiplas de um mesmo candidato, cada produto, projeto ou aplicação requer um registo e um recibo separados.

Prémio:

Em cada categoria haverá três vencedores e dois vice-campeões.

Será dado aos vencedores a oportunidade de mostrarem sua plataforma na cerimónia Prémio Cimeira Mundial da Juventude (WSYA) lugar e data a definir.

El Premio de la Cumbre Mundial de Juventud es un concurso global para iniciativas online o a través de móviles que tiene como fin incrementar la concienciación y ayudar a resolver los asuntos globales más tensos. Por ello, se invita a jóvenes diseñadores y creadores de contenidos digitales (por debajo de los 30) de todo el mundo a desarrollar un contenido creativo de Internet que promueva los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio.

El Premio de la Cumbre selecciona y promueve las mejores prácticas de creatividad tecnológica y contenido digital, demuestra el potencial de los jóvenes para crear contenidos digitales y sirve de plataforma para que las personas de todos los estados miembros de las Naciones Unidas trabajen juntos.

Criterios de elegibilidad:
-Los proyectos deben ser completados después del 1 de enero de 2012 (para los proyectos o productos terminados con anterioridad, los solicitantes tendrán que documentar cualquier alteración, mejora o cambio que hayan hecho en un periodo posterior).
-Los proyectos deben iniciarse y ejecutarse por un joven por debajo de 30 años (nacido después del 1 de enero de 1984).
-Los productos deberán ser funcionales y estar plenamente operativos cuando se presenten.
-Las solicitudes deberán estar libres de ofensas o contenido plagiado y se deberán realizar por una persona autorizada.
-En el caso de múltiples participaciones del mismo participante, cada producto, proyecto o aplicación requiere un registro separado.

Premio:
En cada una de las categorías habrá tres ganadores y hasta tres finalistas. Los ganadores tendrán la oportunidad de mostrar su plataforma en el evento de entrega del Premio de la Cumbre Mundial de Juventud,

Each year Euroscola invites thousands to spend a day in Strasbourg and become Members of the European Parliament. 
Students experience a day as an MEP, they get the opportunity to interact and exchange information in a foreign language and they are also given the possibility to introduce their school and the region where they come from.

Who can apply:

• Euroscola is designed for students between 16 to 18 years old;
• Students from all 27 European Union Members States can participate;
• Participation is awarded to schools, not individuals;
• Successful candidates get a subsidy towards the cost of their journey to Strasbourg (France).

EUROSCOLA - formålet er at bringe skoleelever fra de 15 medlemslande sammen i Strasbourg. En gruppe på omkring 500 grundskoleelever, som regel fra den samme gruppe, inviteres til at bruge en dag sammen til at reflektere over den effekt den Europæiske integration kan få på deres fremtid.

Een dag bezoek aan het Europees Parlement in Strasbourg, waarbij de werkwijze van het echte parlement wordt nagespeeld. Zo zijn er discussies, werkgroepen en een plenaire vergadering in de officiële vergaderzaal van het Parlement. Ten slotte wordt er een Euro-quiz gespeeld.

Budget/projectfinanciering

Aan de deelnemende scholen wordt een tegemoetkoming in de reiskosten verstrekt. Deze wordt berekend op basis van het aantal deelnemers en het aantal af te leggen kilometers. De subsidie verschilt dus per deelnemende groep.

El objetivo del programa es juntar en Estrasburgo a alumnos de colegios de países de la Unión Europea. Se invita a un grupo de aproximadamente 500 alumnos de la educación secundaria, normalmente de la misma edad, a pasar un día reflexionando juntos sobre los efectos que la integración europea tendrá en su futuro.

Objetivos:
-dar a la gente jóvenes una visión del funcionamiento del Parlamento Europeo;
-dar a los jóvenes una idea de Europa a lo largo de un día de reuniones y debates en temas europeos;
-hacerle conscientes de cuál es el significado el compromiso democrático.

Acciones:
-Los alumnos tendrán que hacer pleno uso de su conocimiento de lenguas para poder comunicarse con sus homólogos de los otros países de la Unión Europea, ya que la traducción está limitada.
-Debates públicos en una lengua extranjera.
-Las partes de trabajo multilingüe.

The aim of the programme is to bring together school children for a day trip in Strasbourg. A group of about 500 secondary-school pupils, usually from the same age group, is invited to spend a day thinking together about the effects that European integration will have on their future.

Aims

• To give young people an insight into the workings of the European Parliament;
• To give young people a taste of Europe in a day of meetings and discussion on topical European subjects;
• To make them aware of what is meant by democratic commitement.

Actions:

• The pupils have to make full use of their knowledge of languages in order to communicate with their opposite numbers from the other European countries, since interpretation is limited;
• Public discussions in a foreign language;
• multilingual working parties.

The European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award recognises the work done by cities, towns, or regions in Europe to promote inclusion and create discrimination-free societies.

The Award is open to all local authorities in the EU who are building fairer societies by promoting diversity and inclusion in terms of: Sex. Racial or ethnic origin, Religion or belief, Disability, Age, LGBTIQ identity.

There are two main categories:

• Local authorities with less than 50 000 inhabitants
• Local authorities with more than 50 000 inhabitants

A specific Award will also be given to local authorities for their work on ‘inclusive housing’.

Who can apply

Local authorities such as cities, towns or regions in the EU.

The applications must be made by an official representative. 

How to apply

Applications can be completed preferably in English, but other EU official languages will be accepted. Applicants can also upload or provide a link to a 10-slide PowerPoint presentation to illustrate their application.

Prizes

The 3 winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony in Brussels on 29 April 2025.

O Prémio Capitais Europeias da Inclusão e da Diversidade reconhece o trabalho realizado por cidades, vilas ou regiões da Europa para promover a inclusão e criar sociedades livres de discriminação.

O prémio está aberto a todas as autoridades locais da UE que estejam a construir sociedades mais justas através da promoção da diversidade e da inclusão em termos de:

• Sexo
• Origem racial ou étnica
• Religião ou crença
• Deficiência
• Idade

Existem duas categorias principais:

• Autarquias locais com menos de 50 000 habitantes
• Autarquias locais com mais de 50 000 habitantes

Será também atribuído um prémio especial às autarquias locais que permitam cidades e regiões seguras para as mulheres em toda a sua diversidade, combatendo a violência contra as mulheres.

Quem se pode candidatar:

O concurso está aberto às autoridades locais, tais como cidades, vilas ou regiões da UE.

As candidaturas devem ser apresentadas por um representante oficial.

Os candidatos devem criar um perfil e candidatar-se através do formulário de candidatura online. As candidaturas podem ser preenchidas em qualquer uma das línguas oficiais da UE

Premiul „Capitale europene ale incluziunii și diversității” recunoaște activitatea desfășurată de orașe sau regiuni din Europa pentru a promova incluziunea și a crea societăți fără discriminare.

Premiul este deschis tuturor autorităților locale din UE care construiesc societăți mai echitabile prin promovarea diversității și incluziunii în termeni de: sex, origine rasială sau etnică, religie sau convingeri, dizabilitate, vârstă, identitate LGBTIQ.

Există două categorii principale:

• Autorități locale cu mai puțin de 50 000 de locuitori
• Autorități locale cu mai mult de 50 000 de locuitori

Online disinformation is one of the biggest threats to democracy today. It erodes trust, fuels polarisation, and distorts elections. The Council of Europe is calling on creative minds to design bold, scalable solutions that:

Expose fake accounts and disinformation networks

Improve transparency in content moderation algorithms

Boost access to reliable, pluralistic information

Build public resilience through education and critical thinking

Who can participate

Anyone residing in a Council of Europe member state.

How to apply

Participants should apply as teams of a maximum of 5 people. Teams should be multidisciplinary and reflect gender diversity. They should submit a concept summary (3 pages maximum) of their solution, along with registering their teammates. The summary should include:

• A brief description of their solution and how it addresses the challenge.
• Key features of their solution (e.g., data extraction, case comparison, user interface).

The hackathon includes three online warm-up sessions in the weeks leading up to the event, followed by a full-day final in-person event in Strasbourg on 20 June 2025. Only selected teams will be invited to the final event, with all transport and accommodation costs fully covered by the Council of Europe.

Submissions need to be in English.

Como candidatar-se

Os participantes devem candidatar-se em equipas até um máximo de 5 pessoas. As equipas devem ser multidisciplinares e refletir a diversidade de género. Devem apresentar um resumo concetual (máximo de 3 páginas) da sua solução, juntamente com a inscrição dos seus colegas de equipa. O resumo deve incluir:

• Uma breve descrição da sua solução e da forma como aborda o desafio.

• vor participa la reuniuni și consultări cu ușile închise, abordând o gamă largă de subiecte, teme și persoane din cadrul OCDE
• vor putea lua cuvântul în cadrul unor paneluri și vor putea participa la webinarii
• vor crea și vor fi (co)autori de documente, articole și videoclipuri
• se vor alătura unor ateliere interactive cu alte consilii pentru tineret, cum ar fi Y20, întâlnind lideri ai tineretului din întreaga lume

Activitățile Youthwise se vor desfășura în principal online, deși membrii pot fi invitați la evenimente în persoană, pentru care costurile de deplasare vor fi acoperite.

The Strasbourg World Forum for Democracy is an annual gathering of leaders, decision-makers, civil society activists, representatives of business, social innovators, academia, and media to debate key challenges for democracies worldwide and encourage democratic innovation.

“Democracy and diversity: Can we transcend the divides?” is the theme of the World Forum for Democracy taking place from 4 to 8 November 2024 in Strasbourg, France.

In this context, the Youth Department of the Council of Europe is inviting young people to participate and engage with decision-makers and opinion-formers.

Who can apply

Eligible candidates should:

- Be aged 18-30 (exceptions can be made in special cases); 

- Be able to communicate and work in English;

- Be actively involved in civil society democracy initiatives;

- Be motivated to contribute to developing new ideas on peace and democracy;

- Be ready to share their own challenges faced in relation to democracy and peace;

- Be available to participate fully in the World Forum for Democracy and the preparation process beforehand

• Be ready to adopt a solution-oriented approach by bringing in new ideas and visions on the question of democracy and peace;

Il Forum mondiale per la democrazia di Strasburgo è un incontro annuale di leader, decisori politici, attivisti della società civile, rappresentanti delle imprese, innovatori sociali, mondo accademico e media per discutere le sfide principali per le democrazie di tutto il mondo e incoraggiare l'innovazione democratica.

"Democrazia=Pace" è il tema del Forum mondiale per la democrazia che si terrà dal 6 all'8 novembre 2023 a Strasburgo, in Francia.

In questo contesto, il Dipartimento della Gioventù del Consiglio d'Europa invita fino a 60 giovani a partecipare e a confrontarsi con decisori e opinionisti in una riflessione sulla questione della democrazia e della pace: "La democrazia può garantire e offrire la pace?".

Chi può candidarsi

I candidati idonei devono:

- Avere un'età compresa tra i 18 e i 30 anni (possono essere fatte eccezioni in casi particolari); 

- Essere in grado di comunicare e lavorare in inglese;

- Essere attivamente coinvolti in iniziative democratiche della società civile;

- Essere motivati a contribuire allo sviluppo di nuove idee sulla pace e la democrazia;

- Essere pronti a condividere le proprie sfide in relazione alla democrazia e alla pace;

- essere pronti ad adottare un approccio orientato alla soluzione, apportando nuove idee e visioni sulla questione della democrazia e della pace;

- essere disponibili a partecipare pienamente al Forum mondiale per la democrazia e al processo di preparazione che lo precede.

Come candidarsi

Tutti i candidati devono inviare un modulo di candidatura online.

Devono inoltre pubblicare un breve video di un minuto su YouTube, con il link allegato al modulo di candidatura online.

Il video deve raccontare la motivazione dei candidati a partecipare al WFD. Se il link al video non è accessibile, la candidatura non sarà presa in considerazione. Se per motivi di sicurezza personale i candidati non desiderano postare su una piattaforma pubblica, è necessario contattare la segreteria prima della scadenza all'indirizzo [email protected].

How does it work

“Can Democracy Save the Environment?” is the theme of the World Forum for Democracy in 2020.

In this context, the Youth Department of the Council of Europe is inviting 50-60 young people to participate and engage with decision-makers and opinion-formers in a reflection on the question of Democracy and Environment.

Preparing for the World Forum on Democracy

To best prepare for the World Forum, selected participants will gather in Strasbourg two days before the start of the World Forum to learn about the Council of Europe and its work with youth, to get to know each other, to develop their ideas, plan their actions and work together. All selected participants should arrive on 13 November and depart on 19 November. The youth preparation meeting will take place for all participants on 14 and 15 November in the European Youth Centre before the World Forum begins on 16 of November 2020.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, some participants might take part in a remote way if they cannot travel to France.

During the World Forum for Democracy

The youth participants will join the different labs and side events. Participants may also be given particular roles in the labs and side-events according to their interests and competences (rapporteurs, moderators, audience...).

- Be available to participate fully in the World Forum for Democracy and the preparation process beforehand.
