The European University Institute provides advanced academic training to PhD students. The EUI carries out research in a European perspective (fundamental research, comparative research and Community research).

Doctoral programmes are offered in the following Departments:

    the Department of History and Civilisation
    the Department of Economics
    the Department of Law
    the Department of Political and Social Sciences.

Research students can study for periods from one to three years. Three years for the Institute's doctorate; one year's study in comparative, European and international law (the Ll.M.); or in exceptional cases, one or two years' doctoral training at the Institute before defending a thesis in the home university of the student.

Candidates should have an adequate knowledge of two official languages of the European Union. They should propose a specific thesis project that should be within the research areas covered by the Institute. Az Európai Egyetemi Intézet haladó akadémiai képzést biztosít PhD diákok számára. Az Európai Egyetemi Intézet az európai perspektívában folytat kutatásokat (alapkutatás, összehasonlító kutatás és közösségi kutatás).

BEST, Board of European Students of Technology, is a non-profit student organisation. It is run by students, working for students. BEST organises different activities where students from member universities get the opportunity to increase their international experience, establish contacts, improve their English and have fun. Each BEST Course is attended by 20-30 students of engineering.

Local BEST groups arrange short (1-2 weeks long) courses throughout the year, where engineering students get the chance to learn more about a specific topic in their field of interest. BEST also organises seminars on educational issues, engineering competitions and leisure events.
In a learning event, participants attend lectures given by the university's teaching staff or by experts from companies.  They visit companies, industrial plants or research centres and sometimes take part in case studies.

Topics of the learning events cover mainly different technology fields, economics, marketing and management.
At the end of the course, students take an exam, which is designed to test the results of the course and evaluate the participants' success. An increasing number of courses are recognised by many universities and students attending these courses can get credit from their home universities.

Organisation:
The organising local BEST group takes care of accommodation and subsistence during the entire event, transportation to lectures and all activities related to the contents of the event, teaching and material costs and social activities.
Depending on the situation of the local BEST group, there might be a participation fee.
The maximum fee is 5 Euro per day (but no more than 55 EUR in total).

BEST Symposia on Education
BEST Symposia on Education are symposia events that last for around 6-10 days. They gather students of technology and professors from Europe with the purpose of evaluating and finding new paths for higher education in Europe. BSEs are events with the same format as BEST Courses, involving 20-25 students to discuss education-related topics, trying to identify problems and solutions to innovate and develop education in Europe.

BEST - Board of European Students of Technology - è una organizzazione studentesca senza scopo di lucro. E' gestita da studenti che lavorano per altri studenti. BEST organizza numerose attività in cui studenti delle università membro hanno l'opportunità di accrescere la propria esperienza internazionale, stabilire contatti, migliorare l'inglese e divertirsi.  Ciascun corso BEST è frequentato da 20-30 studenti di ingegneria.

I gruppi BEST locali organizzano brevi corsi (1-2 settimane) durante tutto l'anno, in cui studenti di ingegneria e materie tecniche hanno l'opportunità di approfondire la conoscenza di alcuni temi specifici nel loro settore di interesse. BEST organizza anche seminari su tematiche legate all'istruzione, concorsi di ingegneria ed eventi legati al tempo libero.

Durante gli eventi legati all'apprendimento i partecipanti frequentano letture tenute dal personale didattico universitario o da esperti di diverse società, visitano società esterne, impianti industriali o centri di ricerca, e talvolta partecipano a studi analitici.  
Gli argomenti degli eventi di apprendimento coprono il settore della tecnologia, l'economia, il marketing e la gestione.
Alla fine del corso gli studenti affrontano un esame, ideato per verificare i risultati del corso e il successo raggiunto. Un numero crescente di corsi viene riconosciuto anche da numerose università e gli studenti ottengono crediti dalle proprie università di provenienza.

Il gruppo BEST locale si occupa dell'alloggio e il vitto durante l'intero evento, il trasporto ai seminari e le attività legate ai contenuti dell'evento, le spese per il  materiale didattico e le attività sociali. A seconda della situazione del gruppo BEST locale, potrebbe essere richiesta una quota di partecipazione. La cifra massima per la quota è di 4 euro al giorno (ma non oltre 45 euro in totale) per studenti provenienti da Austria, Belgio, Danimarca, Olanda, Norvegia, Finlandia, Francia, Germania, Svezia e Islanda. Gli studenti da Grecia, Italia, Slovenia,  Repubblica Ceca, Portogallo, Slovacchia e Spagna pagano due terzi della tassa. Un terzo della cifra pagano invece gli studenti da Bulgaria, Croazia, Estonia, Ungheria, Lituania, Lettonia, Polonia, Federazione Russa e Turchia. Studenti dall'ex Repubblica Yugoslava di Macedonia, Serbia, Moldavia, Romania, Repubblica di Montenegro, Ucraina e Bosnia e Erzegovina non pagano alcuna tassa.

Il gruppo locale BESTorganizzatore riceve le domande e fa una selezione in base ad elementi regionali, la lettera di motivazione e il curriculum del candidato. Gli organizzatori inoltre mirano ad avere un pari numero di donne e uomini.

The Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to approximately 1,000 undergraduates, graduates, and PhD students of all subjects and nationalities per year, who are pursuing their degree at universities, universities of applied sciences (‘Fachhochschulen’), or universities of the arts (‘Kunsthochschulen”).

Fundația Heinrich Böll acordă anual burse pentru aproximativ 1000 de studenți, absolvenți și doctoranzi, indiferent de naționalitate sau domeniul de studiu, care își continuă studiile universitare, studenți de la universități de științe aplicate ("Fachhochschulen"), sau universități în domeniul artelor (‘Kunsthochschulen”).

Bursierii trebuie să aibă rezultate academice excelente, să fie implicați social și politic și să fie interesați de valorile de bază ale fundației: ecologie și sustenabilitate, democrație și drepturile omului, justiție și autodeterminare.

La Fondazione Heinrich Böll ogni anno mette a disposizione borse di studio per circa 1.000 laureandi, laureati e dottorandi di tutte le discipline, di tutte le nazionalità, che studiano presso università, università di scienze applicate (“Fachhochschulen”) o università delle arti (“Kunsthochschulen”).

A Heinrich Böll Alapítvány évente származástól függetlenül közel ezer alapfokú, mesterfokú és doktori képzésben részt vevő, bármely szakon tanuló diákot támogat, akik tanulmányaikat alkalmazott tudományokkal foglalkozó ('Fachhochschule') művészeti ('Kunsthochschule') vagy egyéb típusú felsőoktatási intézményben folytatják.

Az ösztöndíj enyerésének feltétele a kimagasló tanulmányi eredmény, valamint lényeges, hogy a pályázó társadalmi és politikai téren is elkötelezett legyen, emellett érdeklődjön az alapítvány által fontosnak tartott értékek (ökológia és fenntarthatóság, demokráció és emberi jogok, önrendelkezés és igazság) iránt.

The UNAOC Fellowship Programme was created recognizing the need to build bridges between cultures and societies through dialogue and cooperation and to reinforce the political will and collective commitment to live together by strengthening mutual awareness and respect.

The programme aims to challenge cultural stereotypes and develop cross-cultural partnerships between peoples from different faiths and cultures. During two weeks, candidates will visit each other’s region and interact with a wide range of local actors and partners. 
In 2022, the Fellowship Programme will focus on "Countering discrimination and racism: the nexus to building pluralistic and diverse societies".

Eligibility

• Nationals from the United States, Canada, or a country member of the Council of Europe plus Belarus (EUNA) and from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA),
• Be born between 1^st January 1987 and 31^st December 1997,
• Be available to travel for a period of 15 days to their counterparts’ region as scheduled by the programme,
  • EUNA candidates (nationals from United States, Canada, or a country member of the Council of Europe, plus Belarus) should have a passport valid at least 6 months beyond September 2022 (1^st April 2023 and beyond),
• MENA candidates (nationals from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, State of Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, or Yemen) should have a passport valid at least 6 months beyond September 2022 (1^st April 2023 and beyond), 
• Have a solid experience in the fields of peacebuilding/conflict prevention and/or tackling discrimination and racism,
• Must not have participated in any of UNAOC programmes before,
• Fluent in English. 
• To be selected, candidates must be able to present professional achievements in the fields of media, social media and peacebuilding, with knowledge of the UN system.

The University on Youth and Development (UYD) is a space for meeting, training and action planning, gathering for one-week hundreds of young people, youth workers, experts from the field and decision-makers responsible for youth-related policies.
The 21^st edition will take place from 11^th to 18^th September 2022 in CEULAJ, Mollina (Spain) and will focus on “Peace, justice and strong institutions”.
The UYD is a partnership between the Spanish Government (INJUVE), the European Youth Forum (YFJ), the Spanish Youth Council (CJE) and other international youth-led organisations and youth-serving organisations.

It is based on the bottom-up approach for the development of the youth agenda and aims at involving all the actors of the quadrilogue (representatives of the governments, parliaments, regional and local authorities and civil society).

The objectives are

• to promote youth work development and youth participation as well as political mainstreaming of the youth-related issues and youth policy development;
• to encourage the participation of young people in decision and policy-making by promoting their involvement and interaction in quadrilogue initiatives;
• to provide training and capacity building for young people and youth organisations;
• to foster youth cooperation and global youth work;
• to promote human rights, intercultural dialogue and democratic citizenship as essential dimensions of global education.

The UYD 2022 will take place from the 11^th (arrivals day) to the 18^th (departures day) September 2022.
During this week different organisations have the possibility to develop their own activities (training, workshop, seminars etc.) within a common pedagogical framework: the Joint Programme.

Proposal for activities
Organisations can apply with one or more activities.
The activities have to have the same length of the University: 6 days (from the 12 to the 17 September 2022), having the 11 and the 18 September 2022 as travel days.
In exceptional cases and based on availability, it would possible to accommodate shorter activities (one extra day) as long as they align with the starting day of the University.
 

Main Criteria for the activities

- to be organised by youth-led/youth-serving organisations or other entities having young people as target group;
- to be connected to the umbrella theme “the SDG 16: Peace, Justice and strong Institution” and contribute to the reflection around the annual theme 2022 “Building effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions” as developed in the Concept Note;
- to seek gender balance and the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the composition of the group of participants;
- to be aligned with the North-South Centre’s Global Education Guidelines.

The selected organisations are expected to
- participate at the UYD preparatory meetings;
- attend the online meetings with all the relevant stakeholders;
- contribute to the joint programme: propose and mobilise guest and experts, connect with the Joint Team, organise side event/activities;
- contibrute to the final evaluation process;
- contribute to the overall coordination of the event (financially, in kind or with human resources) in accordance to their capacity.

Financial Provisions

Each organisation is responsible for covering the expenses related to the travel and airport transfers of its own group, staff and participants.
To facilitate the transfers to and from Malaga airport-CEULAJ, the North-South Centre will identify a company that will provide this service for all the organisations.
Similarly, each organisation has to cover the expenses related to board and lodging in CEULAJ. The North-South Centre has already stipulated a favorable price with CEULAJ: 30 euro pers./night (all inclusive).

Universitatea pentru Tineret și Dezvoltare (University on Youth and Development) este un spațiu de întâlnire, formare și planificare a acțiunilor, care reunește timp de o săptămână sute de tineri, lucrători de tineret, experți din domeniu și factori de decizie responsabili de politicile legate de tineret.
Cea de-a 21-a ediție va avea loc în perioada 11-18 septembrie 2022 la CEULAJ, Mollina (Spania) și se va concentra pe tema "Pace, justiție și instituții puternice".
UYD este un parteneriat între guvernul spaniol (INJUVE), Forumul European al Tineretului (YFJ), Consiliul Tineretului din Spania (CJE) și alte organizații internaționale conduse de tineri și organizații care oferă servicii pentru tineret.

Acesta se bazează pe o abordare de tipul "top-down" pentru dezvoltarea agendei pentru tineret și urmărește să implice toți actorii din cadrul cvadrilogului (reprezentanți ai guvernelor, parlamentelor, autorităților regionale și locale și societății civile).

Inițiativa urmărește:

• să promoveze dezvoltarea activității pentru tineret și participarea tinerilor, precum și integrarea politică a aspectelor legate de tineret și elaborarea de politici pentru tineret;
• să încurajeze participarea tinerilor la luarea deciziilor și la elaborarea politicilor prin promovarea implicării și interacțiunii acestora în cadrul inițiativelor din cadrul cvadrilogului;
• furnizarea de formare și consolidarea capacităților pentru tineri și pentru organizațiile de tineret;
• să încurajeze cooperarea în domeniul tineretului și activitatea de tineret la nivel mondial;
• să promoveze drepturile omului, dialogul intercultural și cetățenia democratică ca dimensiuni esențiale ale educației globale.

UYD 2022 va avea loc în perioada 11 (ziua sosirii) - 18 (ziua plecării) septembrie 2022.

Pe parcursul acestei săptămâni, diferite organizații au posibilitatea de a-și dezvolta propriile activități (cursuri de formare, ateliere de lucru, seminarii etc.) în cadrul unui cadru pedagogic comun: programul comun.

Propunere de activități:

• Organizațiile pot înscrie una sau mai multe activități.
• Activitățile trebuie să aibă aceeași durată cu cea a universității: 6 zile (de la 12 la 17 septembrie 2022), cu zilele de 11 și 18 septembrie 2022 ca zile de călătorie.
• În cazuri excepționale și în funcție de disponibilitate, este posibil să se organizeze activități mai scurte (o zi în plus), atâta timp cât acestea se aliniază cu ziua de începere a Universității.

Criterii principale pentru activități:

• să fie organizate de organizații conduse de tineri/ pentru tineri sau de alte entități care au ca grup țintă tinerii;
• să fie legate de tema generală "ODD 16: Pace, justiție și instituții puternice" și să contribuie la reflecția în jurul temei anuale 2022 "Crearea de instituții eficiente, responsabile și favorabile incluziunii", în acord cu modul în care a fost elaborată în nota conceptuală;
• să urmărească echilibrul de gen și includerea grupurilor vulnerabile în componența grupului de participanți;
• să se alinieze la Orientările globale privind educația ale Centrului Nord-Sud.

Organizațiile selectate trebuie:

• să participe la reuniunile pregătitoare ale UYD;
• să participe la reuniunile online cu toate părțile interesate relevante;
• să contribuie la programul comun: să propună și să mobilizeze invitați și experți, să intre în legătură cu echipa comună, să organizeze evenimente/activități secundare;
• să participe la procesul de evaluare finală;
• să contribuie la coordonarea generală a evenimentului (financiar, în natură sau cu resurse umane), în funcție de capacitatea lor.

Dispoziții financiare:

Fiecare organizație este responsabilă pentru acoperirea cheltuielilor legate de deplasarea și de transferurile de la aeroport ale propriului grup, ale personalului și ale participanților.

Pentru a facilita transferurile către și de la aeroportul din Malaga-CEULAJ, Centrul Nord-Sud va identifica o companie care va asigura acest serviciu pentru toate organizațiile.

În mod similar, fiecare organizație trebuie să acopere cheltuielile legate de cazare și masă în CEULAJ. Centrul Nord-Sud a stipulat deja un preț avantajos cu CEULAJ: 30 euro pers./noapte (all inclusive).

Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) has launched a call for 40 scholarships covering 50% of the tuition fee and 32 Tutor positions for Master courses for Master Courses 2022/2023 in Design, Fashion, Visual Arts, Communication and Management held in Milan, Barcelona, Florence, Madrid, Rome, Turin, Como.

Eligibility
The contest is open to all international students aged over 18 years at the moment of application, in possession of a bachelor degree or, equivalent qualification, or having a job experience in the relevant field. 
Graduands are eligible, as long as they obtain the academic diploma within 30 days before the discussion of the Master course’s Thesis Project.
Students who are already enrolled in a 1st Level Master course are not allowed to be enrolled in a Master course or in other academic and Afam courses at the same time.
Candidates must show proficiency in the language of the course at minimum level B2.
Students residing in Italy can only apply for the scholarship for Master courses offered in Spain while students residing in Spain can only apply for Master Courses offered in Italy.
All other international students can apply either for Master courses in Italy or Spain.

How to apply
To apply for the scholarship, you will have to develop a project on the main topic "Hybrid Innovation", choose the course you want to apply for and register using this form. 
Scholarships will be assigned, taking into consideration the designated course, according to the results of a test related to the course skills, an aptitude test and the selection interview.

Eligibilitate

Concursul se adresează tuturor studenților străini cu vârsta de peste 18 ani în momentul trimiterii candidaturii, care dețin o diplomă de licență sau o calificare echivalentă sau care au experiență de muncă în domeniul respectiv. 

Absolvenții sunt eligibili daca obțin diploma universitară în termen de 30 de zile înainte de discutarea tezei proiectului cursului de master.

Candidații trebuie să cunoască limba în care se desfășoară cursul cel puțin la nivelul B2. 

Studenții care locuiesc în Italia pot aplica doar pentru bursa pentru cursurile de master oferite în Spania, în timp ce studenții cu reședința în Spania pot aplica doar pentru cursurile de master oferite în Italia.

Pentru a candida pentru bursă, vei avea de pregătit un proiect cu titlul Inovația hibridă, să alegi cursul pe care dorești să îl urmezi și te înregistrezi folosind acest formular.

Youth4Regions is the European Commission programme helping journalism students and young journalists to discover what the EU is doing in their region.

It provides a chance to receive trainings on journalism and EU regional policy, a mentorship from established journalists from your country and working side by side with renowned journalists during the EU Regions’ Week.

Furthermore, selected participants will also have the chance to visit EU affairs media headquarters and EU institutions and take part as journalists in European Commission press trips to Member States (all expenses covered by the European Commission).

Plus selected participants also qualify for the Megalizzi-Niedzielski prize for aspiring journalists. 

Eligible applicants should:

• be a citizen of a EU Member State or an EU neighbouring country.
• be from 18 to 30 years old
• demonstrate a real interest in journalism through studies and/or work experience or be a recent journalism graduate (up to 2 years since graduation) with up to 2 years of journalism experience
• have not participated in previous editions of the Youth4Regions Programme

Timeline

• All successful applicants will be invited to Brussels to attend the Youth4Regions Programme during the EU Regions’ Week (8 - 14 October 2022), for which the European Commission will cover travel and accommodation. 
• The programme include trainings on journalism and EU regional policy, mentorship from established journalists, visits of EU affairs media headquarters and EU institutions, as well as the unique opportunity to take part as a journalist in European Commission press trips to Member States.

How to apply

• fill in the online form
• send a short article (2500 to 6250 words) or a short video reportage (2 – 3 minutes) depicting a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (including Interreg) or Cohesion Fund. 
• the article or short video must cover the theme of "youth empowerment".
• Contributions are accepted in all of the 24 EU official languages. However, in case of video submissions a short written summary in English is required.

Youth4Regions è il programma della Commissione europea che aiuta studenti di giornalismo e giovani giornalisti a scoprire cosa sta facendo l'UE nella loro regione.

Il programma offre la possibilità di ricevere una formazione sul giornalismo e sulla politica regionale dell'UE, un tutoraggio da parte di giornalisti affermati del proprio paese e di lavorare fianco a fianco con giornalisti rinomati durante la settimana delle regioni dell'UE. Inoltre, i partecipanti selezionati avranno anche la possibilità di visitare le sedi dei media degli affari dell'UE e le istituzioni dell'UE e prendere parte come giornalisti ai viaggi stampa della Commissione europea negli Stati membri, con tutte le spese coperte dalla Commissione europea.
Inoltre i partecipanti selezionati si qualificano anche per il premio Megalizzi-Niedzielski per aspiranti giornalisti.

Il programma comprende corsi di formazione sul giornalismo e sugli affari dell'UE, tutoraggio da parte di giornalisti affermati, visite di organizzazioni di media e istituzioni dell'UE, nonché un'esperienza di lavoro certificata dalla Commissione europea come giornalisti che coprono la Settimana delle regioni dell'UE. Al termine del programma i partecipanti entrano a far parte della rete Youth4Regions Alumni.
 
Come candidarsi

-inviare un breve articolo (da 2500 a 6250 parole) o un breve reportage video (2 - 3 minuti) che descriva un progetto cofinanziato dal Fondo europeo di sviluppo regionale (compreso Interreg) o dal Fondo di coesione.

Youth4Regions este programul Comisiei Europene care ajută studenții la jurnalism și tinerii jurnaliști să descopere ce face UE în regiunea lor.

Acesta oferă tinerilor posibilitatea de a beneficia de cursuri de formare în domeniul jurnalismului și al politicilor regionale ale UE, de a avea drept mentori jurnaliști consacrați din propria țară și de a lucra alături de jurnaliști de renume în cadrul Săptămânii europene a regiunilor.

În plus, participanții selectați se califică pentru Premiul Megalizzi-Niedzielski pentru jurnaliști aspiranți.

Condiții de eligibilitate:

• să fii cetățean al unei stat membru UE sau al unei țări din vecinătatea UE.
• să ai între 18 și 30 de ani;
• să arăți ca ești interesat de domeniul jurnalism prin studii și/sau experiență profesională sau să fi absolvit recent studii universitare de jurnalism (până la 2 ani de la absolvire) cu experiență în jurnalism de până la 2 ani.

Program:

- Cei 33 de candidați selectați vor fi invitați să participe la programul Youth4Regions din cadrul Săptămânii europene a regiunilor (8 - 14 octombrie 2022) de la Bruxelles. Cheltuielile de călătorie și cazare vor fi acoperite de Comisia Europeană.

- Programul include cursuri de formare în domeniul jurnalismului și al politicii regionale a UE, mentorat din partea unor jurnaliști consacrați, vizite la sediile mass-media din domeniul afacerilor europene și la instituțiile UE, precum și oportunitatea unică de a participa, în calitate de jurnalist, la deplasările de presă ale Comisiei Europene în statele membre.

Cum candidezi:

• completezi formularul online
• trimiți un scurt articol (2500-6250 de cuvinte) sau un scurt reportaj video (2-3 minute) care trebuie să descrie un proiect cofinanțat de Fondul European de Dezvoltare Regională (inclusiv Interreg) sau de Fondul de Coeziune. 
• articolul sau videoclipul trebuie să aibă ca temă "emanciparea tinerilor" (youth empowerment)
• Contribuțiile sunt acceptate în toate cele 24 de limbi oficiale ale UE. Cu toate acestea, în cazul prezentărilor video, este necesar un scurt rezumat scris în limba engleză.

If you are a woman currently enrolled, or about to enrol, in a Master’s degree in one of the above-mentioned fields of study at a university or business school in Europe, this scholarship could be for you!

Who can apply

• EU women citizens;
• currently enrolled, or are about to enrol, in a master’s course in economics, statistics, engineering or computing at a European university or business school;
• obtained excellent grades in their undergraduate studies (i.e. for their bachelor’s degree) (corresponding grades for a range of countries check here);
• from low-income backgrounds with a financial need

How to apply

Applicants should complete the application form and return it together with all supporting documents to [email protected] by 25 May 2022.
The following supporting documents will be required:

• proof of acceptance at or enrolment in a master’s degree programme in one of the relevant fields of study for the coming academic year;
• official transcripts of their undergraduate academic record;
• current funding situation;
• current résumé, and motivation (explaining the reasons for pursuing a specific field of study and research and career interests).

The European Commission is encouraging European enterprises to penetrate the Japanese market. To this end it has put in place various promotional activities to further European exports to Japan and to maximise business opportunities there.

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Co-operation, which was established in Tokyo in 1987 and in Brussels in 1996, organises:

Training programmes for EU managers (2 weeks):
- Get Ready for Japan HRTP (16-27 May 2022) - provides an in-depth understanding of how to do business in Japan. It is targeted at EU managers who have a major role in defining and implementing their company’s policies in relation to Japan, or who are to be transferred to Japan, or come from companies intending to supply Japanese companies or wish to learn about management practices and technological developments in Japan. 
Deadline: 10  March 2022.

The candidate must:
- be a citizen of an EU Member State or of a COSME partnering country;
- work for a company that is > 50% EU or COSME partnering country owned;
- work for an organisation that is an EU or COSME partnering country juridical person;
- be supported by their employer and be able to participate in the entire programme;
- have a reasonable command of English;
- be a manager or an executive from an industrial company;
- have proven experience in industry.

All participants cover their travel costs to and from Japan as well as living expenses in Japan, including accommodation.
The EU-Japan Centre covers all training-related costs such as speakers' fees, room rental, transfers for company visits, etc for participants from SMEs.

Participants from SMEs need to pay a deposit of €1200 to guarantee attendance at all meetings, seminars and company visits. This deposit is refunded within 8 weeks after the mission and upon participant's completion of the post-event questionnaire.

World Class Manufacturing WMC (five days)
- for EU managers and for EU senior executives - to assist EU companies to acquire a better understanding of how Japanese companies continually take costs out of their manufacturing, constantly innovating using "KAIZEN" manufacturing methods (continuous improvement), "JIT" (Just in Time), "TQC" (Total Quality Control), TIE (Total Industrial Engineering), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and "TQM" (Total Quality Management) practices.

Comisia Europeană încurajează întreprinderile europene să pătrundă pe piaţa japoneză. Având acest obiectiv, CE a lansat diferite activităţi promoţionale pentru a mări numărul exporturilor europene în Japonia şi de a maximiza oportunităţile de afaceri de acolo.

Centrul UE-Japonia pentru cooperare industrială, care a fost fondat la Tokio în 1987 şi la Bruxelles în 1996, organizează:

Programe de stagii pentru manageri din UE (2 săptămâni):

•Get Ready for Japan HRTP (16 - 27 mai 2022) – scopul este explorarea în detaliu a practicilor în afaceri. Se adresează managerilor din UE care joacă un rol important în definirea şi implementarea politicilor companiilor lor, în relaţie cu Japonia, care urmează să fie transferaţi în Japonia, care vin din companii care intenționează să devină furnizori pentru companii japoneze sau care vor să fie informaţi despre practicile de management și dezvoltarea tehnologică din această ţară.

Termen limită: 10 martie 2022

Candidatul trebuie:

• să fie cetățean al unui stat membru al UE sau al unei țări partenere COSME;
• să lucreze pentru o companie care este deținută > 50% într-o țara UE sau parteneră COSME;
• să lucreze pentru o organizație care are persoanalitate juridică într-o țără UE sau parteneră COSME;
• să fie sprijinit de angajatorul lui și să poată participa la întregul program;
• să cunoască bine limba engleză;
• să fie manager sau director într-o companie industrială;
• să aibă experiență dovedită în industrie.

Participanții își acoperă cheltuielile de călătorie dus-întors în Japonia, precum și cheltuielile de subzistență în Japonia, inclusiv cazarea.

Centrul UE-Japonia acoperă toate costurile legate de formare, cum ar fi onorariile lectorilor, închirierea locațiilor, transferurile pentru vizitele la companii etc. pentru participanții din partea IMM-urilor.

Participanții din IMM-uri trebuie să plătească un depozit de 1.200 de euro pentru a garanta participarea la toate întâlnirile, seminarele și vizitele la companii. Acest depozit va fi rambursat în termen de 8 săptămâni de la încheierea misiunii și după completarea chestionarului în urma evenimentului de către participant.

Participanții care nu vin din IMM-uri plătesc o taxă mică de școlarizare de 1.200 de euro, care acoperă toate costurile legate de formare.

Producție de talie mondială WMC (cinci zile)

- pentru manageri din UE și pentru directori executivi din UE – scopul este sprijinirea companiilor din UE pentru a înțelege mai bine modul în care companiile japoneze reduc costurile de producție, inovând în permanență prin intermediul metodelor de producție "KAIZEN" (îmbunătățire continuă), "JIT"(Just in Time), "TQC" (Total Quality Control), "Total Quality Engineering" (TIE), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) și "TQM" (Total Quality Management).

Termene limită: 25 noiembrie 2021 (următoarea sesiune va avea loc în luna martie 2022, în mediul online)

Participanții trebuie:

• să fie manageri în companii industriale;
• să aibă experiență profesională în industrie între 5 și 10 ani;

Le Centre de coopération industrielle UE-Japon, qui a été créé à Tokyo en 1987 et à Bruxelles en 1996, organise des programmes de formation pour les cadres de l'UE (2 semaines) :

Tous les participants prennent en charge leurs frais de voyage à destination et en provenance du Japon ainsi que leurs frais de séjour au Japon, y compris le logement.

Le Centre UE-Japon prend en charge tous les frais liés à la formation, tels que les honoraires des intervenants, la location des salles, les transferts pour les visites d'entreprises, etc. pour les participants issus de PME.

Les participants issus de PME doivent verser une caution de 1 200 € pour garantir leur présence à toutes les réunions, séminaires et visites d'entreprises. Cette caution est remboursée dans les 8 semaines suivant la mission et après que le participant ait rempli le questionnaire post-événement.

Les participants non-PME paient des frais de scolarité minimes de 1 200 € couvrant tous les coûts liés à la formation.

Each year, the Directorate General for Interpretation (DG Interpretation, also known as SCIC) offers a number of bursaries.

DG Interpretation study bursaries are available to students of all disciplines who have been accepted for a full-time postgraduate training course in conference interpreting offered by a recognised university or university-level institution. If successfully completed, this will lead to a qualification certifying that you are able to work as a professional conference interpreter in both consecutive and simultaneous modes.

 

Criteria:

• you are a national of an EU Member State or of one of the candidate countries (Albania, The Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia or Turkey);
• you already have a university degree or equivalent qualification, or are in the final year of a course leading to a university degree or equivalent qualification,
• you have applied or intend to apply for a full Master/postgraduate course in conference interpreting ooffered for the year 2021/2022 by a recognised university or university-level institution. For courses that last more than one year, only final year students will be eligible, and
• you need to pay/have paid a tuition fee for the academic year 2021/2022 (= final year of your Master/Postgraduate course). Please note that you are not eligible to apply if your Master/postgraduate course is free of charge,
• you are registered with one of the following active languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Irish, Italian, Maltese, Portuguese, Slovene or Slovak or
• you are registered with in the course with a retour into English, French or German from one of the following active languages: Estonian, Finnish, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Spanish or Swedish
• and your passive languages and/or retour language in line with the preferential profiles as published here.

The bursary will amount to the equivalent of the tuition fee for academic year 2021-2022, with a ceiling amount of EUR 3 000.

 

How to apply
Applicant need to complete the application form 2021/2022 (compulsory!) and upload all the following documents:
1. a copy of their passport or identity card (front and back);
2. a detailed CV, in French, German or English, listing all their qualifications (the use of the ‘Europass’ template is compulsory);

Ogni anno la Direzione Generale Interpretazione (DG Interpretazione, conosciuta come SCIC) mette a disposizione alcune borse di studio. Le borse di studio SCIC sono disponibili per studenti di tutte le discipline che siano stati accettati in un corso di formazione post-laurea a tempo pieno in Interpretazione e Conferenze offerto da un'università riconosciuta o da un istituto a livello universitario e che, se portato a termine con successo, dia una qualifica che certifichi la capacità di lavorare come interprete professionale consecutivo o simultaneo.

Criteri di ammissione:

• Essere cittadini di uno degli Stati Membri o di uno dei paesi candidati (Albania, Repubblica della Macedonia del Nord, Montenegro, Serbia o Turchia).
• Possedere già un diploma universitario o una qualifica equivalente, o sei all'ultimo anno di un corso che porta a un diploma universitario o a una qualifica equivalente,
• Essere già in possesso di un diploma universitario o di una qualifica equipollente, oppure frequentare l'ultimo anno di un corso che offra un diploma universitario o una qualifica equipollente.
• Possedere le seguenti combinazioni linguistiche:
  1. Come lingua attiva (lingua madre) una tra le seguenti: bulgaro, croato, ceco, danese, estone, olandese, inglese, francese, tedesco, greco, irlandese,  lituano, lettone, maltese, portoghese, rumeno, slovacco, sloveno  o svedese.
  2. Perfetta conoscenza di due lingue (a livello di madre lingua), di cui una tra quelle elencate sopra e l'altra tra le lingue presenti sul sito oppure
  3. Aver fatto richiesta o avere intenzione di fare richiesta per un corso di master/post laurea in interpretariato di conferenza per l'anno 2021/2022, presso un'università riconosciuta o un istituto a livello universitario.

L'importo massimo della borsa ammonta a 3000 euro per coloro che studiano in uno degli Stati membri.

Nell'assegnazione delle borse di studio verrà data preferenza a candidati che: offrono una combinazione linguistica che più si adatta alle esigenze attuali e future della DG. La selezione verrà fatta sulla base della combinazione linguistica e la valutazione delle potenzialità del candidato.

Wie man sich bewirbt

AEGEE - Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l'Europe (European Students' Forum) is a student association. It promotes the idea of an unified Europe, cross-border co-operation, communication, integration among students and strives to create an open and tolerant society of tomorrow.
AEGEE is an interdisciplinary, voluntary, non-governmental, politically independent and non-profit making association. It is represented in 200 university cities, in 40 countries all around Europe.
Its main field of action covers peace and stability, higher education, active citizenship and cultural exchange.

Each year "Summer Universities" are held by most of the AEGEE local groups (called antennae) in order to promote intercultural understanding. Students can travel to an antenna in another country.
To be able to apply for a Summer University you need to be a member of an AEGEE local, (check also the Map of Locals).

Summer Universities are on average two weeks long events that take place during summer in most of the cities where AEGEE is present. Understanding and exploring the multicultural dimension of the European continent, fighting for tolerance and creating open-minded citizens who are not afraid to share their opinion in an open discussion about the future of Europe, are some of the reasons why 30 young Europeans come together in each Summer University to taste the diversity of European integrity.
The summer university consists of different kinds of programmes: Summer Course; Summer Course Plus; Travelling Summer University; Short Summer Course.

How to apply 

1.   Go to the official website of the Summer University Project and log in with your MyAEGEE account. Then click on "Fill in Application Form" under "Applicants".
2.   In the first step you'll review your personal data from your MyAEGEE account. Here also you'll have to write your previous AEGEE experience (if any) and describe how would be your ideal Summer University.
3.   In the second step you'll have to write a different motivation letter for each of the SUs you chose in the previous step.
4.   In the last step you'll view a summary of your application.

The application fee is maximum 14€ per day (with a few exceptions). It includes lodging, breakfast and at least one warm meal per day, workshops, activities and social programme.

AEGEE - Forum Studentesco Europeo - è un'associazione europea per la promozione di un'Europa unita e la cooperazione transnazionale, la comunicazione, l'integrazione fra studenti e la creazione di una società aperta e tollerante. AEGEE è un'associazione interdisciplinare, su base volontaria, non governativa, politicamente indipendente e senza scopo di lucro.
E' rappresentata in 200 città universitarie e in 40 paesi di tutto il mondo. Il suo principale campo d'azione è quello della pace e la stabilità, l'istruzione superiore, la cittadinanza attiva e lo scambio culturale.

Tutti gli anni i gruppi locali dell'AEGEE, chiamati "Antenne", organizzano delle "Summer Universities" per la promozione della comprensione interculturale. Le Summer Universities sono in media eventi di due settimane che si svolgono durante l'estate nella maggior parte delle città in cui AEGEE è presente. L'università estiva consiste in diversi tipi di programmi: Corso estivo; Corso estivo Plus; Università estiva itinerante; Corso estivo breve.

La procedura di presentazione della domanda per la "Summer University" è la seguente:
1.   Andate al sito ufficiale del Summer University Project e accedi con il vostro account MyAEGEE. Poi cliccate su "Fill in Application Form" sotto "Applicants".
2.   Inizialmente rivedrete i vostri dati personali dal vostro account MyAEGEE. Qui dovrete anche scrivere la vostra precedente esperienza AEGEE (se possibile) e descrivere come sarebbe la vostra Summer University ideale.
3.   In un secondo momento dovrete scrivere una lettera di motivazione diversa per ciascuna delle SU che avete scelto nella fase precedente.
4.   Nell'ultima fase visualizzerete un riassunto della vostra domanda.

Universitatea de vară cuprinde diferite tipuri de programe: cursuri de vară; cursuri de vară intensive; călătorii de studii; cursuri scurte de vară.

Procedura de înscriere online la Universitatea de vară:

1. Deschideţi site-ul oficial al proiectului Universitate de vară și conectați-vă la contul MyAEGEE. Apoi faceți clic pe "Fill in Application Form" la "Applicants".
2. Prima etapă: revizuiți datele personale din contul MyAEGEE. Aici trebuie să prezentați experiența voastră AEGEE (dacă aveți) și să descrieți cum ar arăta o universitate de vară ideală pentru voi.

The Scholarship Programme offers young professional dancers and choreographers from mainly European but also from non-European countries the possibility to take part in an intense multinational further training programme.
The Programme is a 5-week residency taking place every year in July - August in Vienna within the frame of ImPulsTanz festival.

The programme focuses on the exchange of ideas and knowledge, not limited by national borders, on concentrated further training, on meeting with internationally renowned artists gathering in Vienna at ImPulsTanz with the aim to orient the career of the participants.
In 2022, the programme is taking place from 6 July to 10 August.

Each scholarship within the frame of Life Long Burning is co-financed by the Culture Programme of the European Union, by Austrian funding bodies and by local funding from the home country of the nominee. This last part is not yet secured in all countries.

DanceWEB offre a circa giovani ballerini professionisti e coreografi principalmente europei, ma anche di paesi non europei, la possibilità di partecipare ad un programma di formazione  intensivo multinazionale. Il programma Europeo di Borse di Studio "danceWEB", della durata di 5 settimane, ha luogo ogni anno a Luglio-Agosto a Vienna nel quadro del Festival ImPulsTanz:  http://www.impulstanz.com/

Il programma è centrato sullo scambio di idee e conoscenze, sull'aggiornamento, sull'incontro con artisti di fama internazionale che si raccolgono a Vienna all'ImPulsTanz allo scopo di orientare la carriera dei partecipanti. Quest'anno il programma si svolgerà dal 6 luglio al 10 agosto 2022.

Il valore di una borsa di studio è di circa 6.450 EUR (a seconda della scelta individuale dei progetti di ricerca, dei workshop e delle necessità del borsista). Partecipanti:
Ballerini e coreografi con ambizioni professionali provenienti dai paesi europei ed esterni all'UE, preferibilmente tra i 22 e 30 anni e con una buona conoscenza dell'inglese. La qualità del curriculum artistico rappresenta il criterio principale per la partecipazione al programma danceWEB.

Dopo cinque anni il 30 giugno 2018 si è concluso Life Long Burning, il progetto per il sostegno sostenibile della scena europea della danza e della performance contemporanea, sostenuto dal programma Cultura dell'Unione Europea. Il suo progetto successivo - Life Long Burning, Towards A Sustainable Eco-System for Contemporary Dance in Europe - entra in scena e sviluppa e approfondisce ulteriormente i suoi obiettivi artistici, grazie a un sostegno quadriennale del programma Creative Europe.

Programul de burse danceWEB oferă tinerilor dansatori şi coregrafi profesionişti în principal din Europa, dar şi din ţările non-europene, posibilitatea de a participa într-un program multinaţional de formare intensivă.

Programul se derulează sub forma unei rezidenţe de 5 săptămâni din iulie în august, la Viena, în cadrul festivalului ImPulsTanz.

Programul se axează pe schimbul de idei şi cunoştinţe, pe formare continuă, pe întâlniri cu artişti recunoscuţi internaţional la Viena la ImPulsTanz, în vederea orientării carierei participanţilor.

În 2022, programul se va derula în perioada 6 iulie – 10 august.

The Fulbright-Schuman Programme provides grants to EU citizens for study, research or lecturing in the United States with a focus on EU affairs, European integration or US-EU relations.

The programme is administered by the Fulbright Commission in Belgium and is jointly funded by the U.S. State Department and the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission.

There are four types of grants available:

• Grants for Post-Doctoral Research and Lecturing (‘scholars’)
  • for those with completed PhD (or other terminal degree and 5+ years of experience) and academic/professional experience of 3+ months in two or more EU Member States
  • for a minimum period of three months and a maximum of nine months, with preference being given to projects of 4-6 months duration
     
• Grants for (Pre) Doctoral Research (‘students’)
  • for those with academic/professional experience of 3+ months in two or more EU Member States, holding at least a bachelor’s degree and having achieved academic excellence generally defined as a distinction in each year of study or in the final year of study (please note that candidates without these grades are still encouraged to apply if they have outstanding personal or professional backgrounds)

Il programma è amministrato dalla Commissione Fulbright in Belgio ed è finanziato congiuntamente dal Dipartimento di Stato americano e dalla Direzione generale per l'istruzione e la cultura della Commissione europea.

Ci sono quattro tipi di borse di studio disponibili:

Borse di studio per l'innovazione
-per proposte incentrate su approcci UE o USA-UE a tecnologie e modelli di business innovativi e la loro integrazione con politiche e regolamenti nuovi e già esistenti;
-la procedura di candidatura è la stessa di quando si fa domanda per una borsa di (pre)dottorato (studenti) o di ricerca post-dottorato (studiosi), ma nella sezione "Informazioni sul paese" è necessario specificare che si sta presentando domanda per il premio di innovazione.

Fellowships are awarded, without regard to nationality, to qualified persons doing bot advanced creative and scholarly work in the following disciplines: archaeology, architecture, classics, dance, film/video, history, landscape architecture, literature, music, philosophy, theatre, visual arts  without regard to nationality, age, race, or gender.

In the Arts, the study centre welcomes persons doing both creative and scholarly work (such as art history, musicology, film criticism and so on). With respect to music and theatre, the centre does not have rehearsal studio space for persons wishing to work extensively in performance. However, since 2013, the Bogliasco Foundation has a brand-new, state-of-the-art 365 sq ft dance studio, including a sprung floor with marley surface, mirrors, portable barres, and audio-video projection and recording capabilities.

Each year approximately 50 fellowships or residencies are awarded. Their duration of the residency at the Bogliasco Study Center is 32 or 33 days and are scheduled during the two semesters of the academic year:
Fall (mid-September to the third week of December) and
Spring (Early January to the third week of May).

During their stay at the Centre, fellows and accompanying spouses/companions are provided with accommodation and subsistence.

Who can apply
- gifted individuals working in all the disciplines of the Arts and Humanities without regard to nationality, age, race, religion or gender;
- should demonstrate significant achievement in their disciplines, commensurate with their age and experience;
- accomplished artists and scholars who have a clear track record of achievements.

Students who are enrolled in a degree-granting program at the time of the application are not eligible.

Centrul de studii îi aşteaptă pe toţi cei care desfăşoară atât activităţi creative, cât și activități de cercetare (cum ar fi istoria artei, muzicologie, critică de film, ș.a.m.d.). Pentru muzică și teatru, centrul nu are un spaţiu special pentru repetiţii pentru cei care doresc să lucreze intensiv pentru spectacole. Cu toate acestea, începând din 2013, Fundația Bogliasco are un studio de dans nou, de 365 mp, cu spațiu de dans, oglinzi și bare portabile, precum și facilități de proiecție audio-video și de înregistrare.

În fiecare an sunt acordate aproximativ 50 de burse sau rezidenţe. Durata rezidenței la Centrul de Studii Bogliasco variază între 32 și 33 de zile şi este programată în timpul celor două semestre ale anului academic:

Toamnă (mijlocul lui septembrie până în cea de a treia săptămână a lunii decembrie) şi

Cine poate candida

• persoane talentate care lucrează în oricare dintre disciplinele artelor și științelor umaniste indiferent de naţionalitate, vârstă, rasă, religie sau gen.
• trebuie să demonstreze rezultate deosebite în domeniul lor de activitate, în conformitate cu vârsta şi experienţa pe care o au.
• trebuie să trimită descrierea proiectelor pe care vor să le desfăşoare la Bogliasco.
• artiști și cercetători care au un istoric clar al realizărilor.

Studenții înscriși într-un program finanțat, în urma căruia obțin o diplomă, la data trimiterii candidaturii nu sunt eligibili.

Cum poți candida

Sunt cerute următoarele documente, care trebuie trimise in engleză, italiană, franceză sau spaniolă.

M100 Young European Journalist Workshop is part of the annual international media conference M100 Sanssouci Colloquium. It offers young journalists the opportunity to participate in workshops focusing on the theme "Reporting in Crises and the Crisis in Reporting" between 10^th September and 2^nd October 2021.

Participants should be passionate about their role in the democratic process and take an active interest in the future of media, journalism and democracy.
Due to the COVID situation the workshop will be conducted as a decentral, online event over the course of six weeks.

The seminar will take place online between 10^th September and 2^nd October in three modules.

Young journalists, bloggers or scholars, between 18 and 26 years old from Europe, the countries of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) and Russia.

How to apply
Applicants should write a short essay in English (5,000 letters maximum) on journalism and Covid-19 in their country. They are free to focus on either the media coverage of the pandemic or the impact of the latter on journalism at large.
Applicants should also include a short CV and send it in one PDF (not larger than 2 MB).

Atelierul “Tineri jurnalişti europeni M100” face parte din conferința internațională anuală de presă “M100 Sanssouci Colloquium”. Conferința oferă tinerilor jurnaliști posibilitatea de a participa la ateliere pe tema "Reportajul în situații de criză și situația de criză în reportaj", în perioada 10 septembrie - 2 octombrie 2021.

Participanții trebuie să fie pasionați de rolul lor în procesul democratic și să fie interesați în mod activ de viitorul mass-mediei, jurnalismului și democrației.

Datorită situației cauzate de COVID, atelierul va avea loc ca un eveniment online descentralizat, pe parcursul a șase săptămâni.

Seminarul se va desfășura online în perioada 10 septembrie - 2 octombrie, în trei module. 

Modulul I: Demararea călătoriei: Definirea provocărilor și obiectivelor comune

Participanții pot asista la Colocviul M100 Sanssouci, care va avea loc online în data de 6 octombrie, cu tema "De la criza perpetuă la reziliența democratică".

Cine poate candida

Tineri jurnaliști, bloggeri sau bursieri, cu vârsta cuprinsă între 18 și 26 de ani din Europa, țările Parteneriatului Estic (Armenia, Azerbaidjan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova și Ucraina) și Rusia.

Cum poți să candidezi

Candidații trebuie să scrie un scurt eseu în limba engleză (maximum 5.000 de litere) despre jurnalism și Covid-19 în țara lor. Aceștia sunt liberi să se concentreze fie asupra acoperirii mediatice a pandemiei, fie asupra impactului pandemiei asupra jurnalismului în general.

De asemenea, candidații trebuie să includă un scurt CV și să îl trimită în format PDF (nu mai mare de 2 MB).

Der "M100 Young European Journalist Workshop" ist Teil der jährlichen internationalen Medienkonferenz M100 Sanssouci Colloquium. Er bietet jungen Journalisten die Möglichkeit, zwischen dem 10. September und dem 2. Oktober 2021 an Workshops zum Thema "Reporting in Crises and the Crisis in Reporting" teilzunehmen.

Die Teilnehmer sollten sich für ihre Rolle im demokratischen Prozess begeistern und ein aktives Interesse an der Zukunft der Medien, des Journalismus und der Demokratie haben.
Aufgrund der COVID-Situation wird der Workshop als dezentrale Online-Veranstaltung über einen Zeitraum von sechs Wochen durchgeführt.

Das Seminar findet online zwischen dem 10. September und dem 2. Oktober in drei Modulen statt.

Wer kann sich bewerben
Junge Journalisten, Blogger oder Wissenschaftler zwischen 18 und 26 Jahren aus Europa, den Ländern der Östlichen Partnerschaft (Armenien, Aserbaidschan, Belarus, Georgien, Moldawien und Ukraine) und Russland.
 

Wie man sich bewirbt
Die Bewerber sollten einen kurzen Aufsatz in englischer Sprache (maximal 5.000 Zeichen) über Journalismus und Covid-19 in ihrem Land schreiben. Es steht ihnen frei, sich entweder auf die Medienberichterstattung über die Pandemie oder auf die Auswirkungen der Pandemie auf den Journalismus im Allgemeinen zu konzentrieren.
Die Bewerber sollten auch einen kurzen Lebenslauf beifügen und diesen in einem einzigen PDF-Dokument (nicht größer als 2 MB) einreichen.

STEP Travel Grants support creative and critical individual cultural workers who are travelling across Europe and neighbouring countries, to help foster a society with greater solidarity, equality and a stronger sense of social justice. The aim is to support culturally active and engaged individuals for international return travels within Europe or to/from its neighbouring countries to a partner organisation for a professional cultural collaboration that serves a wider community.

The STEP travel grants funding programme has been initiated and managed by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF), with the support of Compagnia di San Paolo (CdSP).
 

Eligibility criteria
Applications are considered only by cultural practitioners who:
- are based/active in one of the following countries: Albania, Andorra, Algeria, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia (FYROM), Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, The Netherlands, Norway, Palestinian Territories, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom;
- are at least 18 years old at the time of travel;
- have had few professional travel opportunities;
- are travelling to the destination country professionally for the first time;
- are collaborating with the partner organisation for the first time;
- are not currently in any other contractual agreement with ECF.

The applicant should have (at least) one committed partner organisation in the destination country that:
- is from the independent cultural, or social sector (but working with culture);
- is committed to engaging in reciprocal knowledge exchange and equal partnership with the applicant;
- will acknowledge the STEP support in any communication material deriving from the travel.
The same partner organisation can only host up to four STEP grantees per calendar year. Each applicant should check with their partner whether they have hosted STEP grantees already.

Applicants can represent an organisation, if it is a not-for-profit professional organisation. Commercial enterprises, student, volunteer or amateur associations are not eligible for STEP support.
The same applies for partner organisations in order for them to be eligible STEP partners.

The same individual can only be awarded once for a STEP travel grant.
A maximum of two individuals can be awarded for the same initiative, with individually written and submitted personal applications for each traveller and clearly justified and complementary roles for each person in the travel itinerary. Each application will be considered individually.
 

What countries can you travel to and from?
Round trips within Europe and to/from its neighbouring countries. All travel directions are eligible, except for travels between Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, the Palestinian Territories, Syria and Tunisia.

Funding

The amount of the grant sum is based on the calculation of the journey for one direction. The awarded grant, however, is meant to cover the full round trip (both ways).
For environmental reasons, applicants are encouraged to travel over land, e. g. by train, which is widely accepted as the least polluting means of mass transportation and domestic public transport.
The minimum distance travelled must be 100 km by the straightest route (as calculated already automatically in the application form). Travels between 100 and 700 km must happen by train/coach, unless not possible due to political/infrastructural reasons.
