The 6th yearly call is open for cross-border, collaborative proposals between news media organisations focusing on innovative business models and/or journalistic projects across Europe. This opening aims to help European news media become more sustainable and resilient specifically by supporting cross-border media collaborations.
Who can apply
- Consortia may include non-profit, public and private media outlets
- Other organisations focusing on news media (media associations, NGOs, journalistic funds and training organisations focusing on media professionals etc)
- Natural persons ARE NOT eligible (with exceptions of self-employed persons like sole traders, where the company does not have legal personality from that of the natural person)
- Be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:
-EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))
-listed EEA countries and countries associated to the Creative Europe programme (list)
Consortia composition
3 partners from at least three different countries participating in the Creative Europe programme
Eligible activities
- events, online trainings and workshops for media professionals, exchange programmes, mentoring schemes, mapping of best practices, sector-wide development of technical standards, development of guidelines and editorial standards, production of practical guidebooks,
- development and testing of platforms and technical solutions to exchange ideas and best practices, promotional activities, or other activities that aim to uphold the viability of a given sector/s.
Grant
- Each project will be granted maximum EUR 2 million
- The maximum co-financing rate is 80% of the total eligible costs
- Applicants need to co-finance their projects
