Erasmus Mundus Marihe
Funding for a Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education.
The MARIHE (Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education) programme offers a dynamic and international curriculum designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in higher education policy, management, and innovation.
What is it
- In the first two semesters, all students study together in Austria and Finland, focusing on higher education systems, governance, teaching and learning, financial management, and research methods.
- The third semester offers specialised tracks in Asia (China or India) and Europe (Austria, Finland, Germany, Hungary, or Portugal), allowing students to deepen their expertise in areas such as educational planning, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, leadership, or policy analysis.
- A hands-on internship and a research-based Master thesis in the fourth semester complete the program, ensuring both academic depth and practical experience.
Who can apply
- Candidates must hold a first university degree equivalent to at least a Bachelor’s degree representing three years of full-time study. If your degree uses ECTS, this means 180 credits minimum
- Applicants with proficiency in English
- Applicants shall show a strong motivation and interest to learn and work in the field of development and management of research and innovation in higher education.
Costs
- Participation fee is EUR 18.000. All students are exempt from paying this fee – either through Erasmus Mundus scholarship coverage or through the consortium’s fee waiver for self-funded participants.
- Participation to the programme is possible either as a self-funded student or with Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
