AFS offers several types of exchange programmes for young people aged 14 and older from across the world:
How it works
You will travel to a new country, study at a local high school, and live with a host family. Choose your adventure duration: an academic year, a semester, or a trimester.
How to Participate
Visit the AFS International website to locate your country’s AFS chapter.
Review the available programmes and eligibility criteria.
Complete an application: Submit an online application, which may include personal essays, school transcripts, and references. Applications often require parental consent for participants under the age of 18.

The programme involves fees, which vary by country. Please visit the AFS chapter in your country to learn about specific costs and available scholarships.
STEM Programmes: AFS supports this initiative by providing funding for up to 5,000 scholarships over five years, granted based on specific criteria.
