The Intercultural Innovation Award, a partnership between the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the BMW Group, selects and supports innovative grassroots projects promoting intercultural dialogue and fostering a more peaceful and inclusive world through mutual respect, diversity, and rejection of violent extremism.
Eligibility
Not-for-profit organizations and not-for-profit social enterprises implementing innovative projects focused on promoting intercultural dialogue and fostering diverse and inclusive societies, and who are willing to expand their range of action. Examples include projects in the fields of promoting gender equality, preventing xenophobia, violent extremism, and hate speech, promoting the use of sport, art and culture as tools to drive social change and foster social inclusion, supporting the LGBTQI+ community and championing gender diversity, advocating for disability inclusion, and using AI and new technologies at the service of humanity.
Award
Ten organisations will will receive funding, training, capacity-building, customized support, and tailored mentoring for their projects.
