The World Bank offers internships to young people interested in learning more about the economic and social issues that affect people’s lives around the world. The programme offers opportunities for study and work that provide hands-on experience.

The WBG Pioneers Internship Programme offers graduate students an opportunity to improve their skills as well as gain experience of working in an international environment.

Eligibility

• Be a final-year undergraduate student or be a graduate student currently pursuing a master’s degree or a PhD
• 0 to 6 years of professional experience
• Nationals of the Bank’s member countries or countries of operations.
• Fluent in English

All qualified individuals with diverse professional and academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Grants

The Bank pays an hourly salary to all interns and, where applicable, provides an allowance towards travel expenses. Interns are responsible for their own living accommodations.
